Games with missing pieces

Hi!  My kids are teens, so I kinda missed the whole BPA scare.  I admire the eco-conscious parenting movement, and I'm trying to save Candyland game pieces from winding up in landfills.

Actually, I like the colors, and I'm scooping up incomplete games to decorate this year's Christmas tree.  It's tricky, as these games either get thrown away at home or at Goodwill because they won't sell. (sigh)

Any advice on finding partial Candyland games would be appreciated.  My local Goodwill has games from time to time, but the Salvation Army near me carries no toys. =(

Hmmm maybe if you put an ad up on Craigslist? Or what about contacting a church or children's home to see if they have any incomplete games? (Hint: if they don't now, they will soon--my husband runs a home for children and they run through games pretty quickly!) Good luck on your hunt!

Try asking on your local freecycle. I often see kids games offered, both complete and incomplete.
