After this semester is over, I will not be taking any classes untill the fall... I swear!!! :LOL I'm still having some issues, but they are not as overwhelming. I do know that I am a perfectionist... I see that. I've actually gotten better at not wanting to organize everything in the house. You should see our closet... scary times, indeed!

Thank you all...

Oatmeal, it never made me want to die... nothing ever has. I have waaaay too much to do and waaay too much love here.

Foobar- I truly will take a break before my older kids get outta school!!!

BTW, when they are all in school, approximately 5 years from now, I'll be the woman in the middle of the street dancing in her slippers, holding a margarita... you are all invited...

OMG! I will be there with you!

I am DYING for a margarita! Too bad I am pregnant because it's warm today and I have a quite day to myself tomorrow!

I took way too many classes at one point and I was also killing myself! Good for you to take off the summer!

I would recommend therapy to help work with your perfectionism. I felt worried hearing you talk about getting caught up on tests and wanting to make an A not a B. I say this in a friendly way, b/c I'm a perfectionist, too, and I'm currently in therapy for that and many other reasons!!

YOU CAN MAKE A "B" AND IT WILL BE OKAY.
...and...
NO WOMAN IS ACTUALLY SUPERWOMAN, REGARDLESS OF WHAT A GOOD ACT SHE MAY PUT ON (before collapsing from exhaustion).

If you are worried because you have some goal like going to medical school where you think one "B" will ruin your shot, then don't take any more classes for quite a while. You have a large, young family and this is not the time to embark on anything that "requires" perfection!

You know, let's say you do want to go to med school, but then you make a B, or even (gasp) a C and feel like all is lost. The universe might just open up a new door that you' hadn't thought of. A good friend of mine was going to a biochemistry professor until she got pregnant while working toward her PhD. She quit the program, moved here to Oregon and loves it, and now she's found a true passion and is planning to become a midwife. Even imperfections can turn out wonderfully!

Glad the increased meds are working, and I do hope you won't take any more classes for a while, except maybe something like pottery that is no-stress and just for you!

Well, the semester is almost over...whatever I got in Abnormal Psych is now in concrete... won't find out for a few days. I have my Algebra final on Thursday, but I'm not worried about it. Right now, I'm just trying to keep my kids from driving me nutso!!! :LOL As for perfectionism, my issues are: I failed out of college once, I'm not going to do it again. I DID get my first degree, but I want my second to be different. Yes, I know a B won't kill me. My abnormal psych professor told me that a B will still get me into nursing school. That worked for me. He teaches at the top nursing school here in San Antonio...
