Thentherewere4- You have been on my mind and heart a lot lately. I am so sorry for the situation you are in right now. It is so very hard when you are not on the same page as your spouse... When it is a matter as grave and serious as protecting life... ugh... not a good situation. (((HUGS)))
As far as stress, I don't know anything real (like legit studies and such) that talk about stress affecting the babe in utero, so I cannot talk to that. I have only heard the same thing you have probably heard, "If you are stressed, the baby is stressed." Whether it is true or not, though, stress is affecting YOU in negative ways. Meditation and prayer are GREAT ways to deal with stress and are often neglected by many, so keeping up with that would be a wonderful idea! Other ways are eating right (which you are doing) and exercising. Exercising can be a great help to counteract stress hormones... and THAT is a proven fact!!! I am not a natural exerciser AT ALL, so this is coming from a natural couch potato. When I am stressed for long periods of time and I start noticing it when I start taking out my frustration on the kids (being short and cranky with them, etc.), I will think, "maybe I should exercise..." I end up putting it off for a few weeks and finally cave in and exercise and feel sooo much better! Exercise is the INSTANT stress reliever!
