would you eat expired nuts?

I am trying to clean out my much ignored freezer. I have tons of nuts from Trader Joe's. They are all expired, some by a long time but they have been frozen. Some I may have frozen after having them a while. Some are opened, some are not.

Should I throw them away??

Id probably use them if they didn't taste rancid or bitter.

Try toasting them a bit, either in the oven or in a dry frying pan.  It heats or cooks the oils enough to make them taste better.  Just keep an eye on them so they don't burn.

Oh yes, Christmas is fried almond season at my house.

So, if they're in the freezer I am assuming they are not rancid?  What if you ground them up super-fine and made... stuff out of the nut dust?  I'm out of ideas beyond "nut dust".

Nut dust bars?  Nut dust cookies?
