Hi everyone :) We are a part time/ as needed cosleeping family. That is to say our kids usually start out in their own beds. This is mostly because my husband goes to bed very early and I tend to go to bed very late and we wanted some consistancy in bedtime, especially for the school aged girls.
My 6.5 year old usually ends up in our bed anywhere between 11pm to 1pm pretty much every night. My 1.5 year old ends up with us (well me, my husband ends up on the couch) about 50% of the time but the problem is she is so restless. She is clearly tired but changes position every half hour or so. She climbs on me, cuddles with me, kicks me, wiggles, climbs on her sister, etc. Its tough because I want her with me and when I put her back in her bed she cries (so I go get her again and it all starts over) but she keeps me and her big sister awake. Then we are all tired and cranky.
What am i doing wrong? What can i do to help her get a more peaceful and calmer sleep? Thanks :)
