Nursing Mamas TTC in August - Page 5

I hope all of you are having an awesome weekend.

Today DS and DH went to the park without me and I caught up later. This morning I had such intense nausea and cramps, I had to sit down and breathe it out on the couch.

I have yet to have AF post partum, so I am positive this is it, or we have caught the first egg!

Fatigue is growing by the hour, and so is my anticipation to test. Oh and another kicker, DH is going on a company retreat on the 28th. My TWW ends on the 27th, hahaha.

Ooh, fingers crossed for you Blonhrt!

Fingers crossed here too Blonhrt88!

I am 10DPO and obsessing about every possible symptom.  The CM from earlier in the week has gone for the most part (booh).  I check my nipples daily for color change as I had a drastic change with DS (none so far).  I'm discouraged and hopeful moment to moment.  I wasn't planning on testing for another week but I don't know if I'll last that long. Now I'm thinking if I can make 14 or 15 DPO I'll be happy.  I think that the news that my SIL is pregnant is making me want to be preggo too even more so.  I am SO happy for them, but they didn't even want to be  pregnant till December, and I want to be really badly.  I am just so ready (as I am sure you all are too.)  So, I need it to be next Wednesday or Thursday so I can test!  I am so paranoid that I am going to have a hard time this time, even though I have no reason to think it should be an issue.  My periods are regular and my LP seems to be normalized.  Thanks for listening to my obsessive rant. blahblah.gif  I'll be better in less than a week...

MyName, we mostly eat whole foods here (my personal vice however, being tortilla chips/nachos).  I took a prenatal after DS was born, religiously for 8 or so months, then sporadically, then not at all.  For the last few months I have been taking a prenatal again (just from the drug store, but a good brand, Jamesons), more and more religiously as time goes on.  I am also taking a B complex "prescribed" by my naturopath.

Thanks, I'm crossing mine too!

nstewart, that's tuff. When someone close to you falls pregnant while your trying, the whole time your wishing you were celebrating your pregnancy greensad.gif

Don't worry, I'm sure your time will come soon enough. Just enjoy celebrating with your SIL under the thinking she will be doing it for you soon, hehe.

Thanks Blonhrt88.  I am very happy for them, and I know they want us to be on the bandwagon with them.  I think that's part of it too, wanting to be pregnant together again.  Their first and our first are 4 months apart, and SO close and it was so great to be pregnant together the first time.  I'd like that again.

To add to the anticipation, I had a very vivid pregnancy dream last night, and could feel the baby moving in my belly.  (DS was probably kicking me in his sleep! lol)  My other DF who is TTC right now was also very pregnant in my dream. Hopefully this means a pregnancy for her as well because they had great difficulty TTC their DD and finally only conceived with help after 18 months of trying.

Anyone else testing next week?

I will.

It will make my second test....redface.gif

I broke down today after more cramping and boogery excess cm, and used one of my three. On the way to Walgreens I convinced myself I would be the first one in the world to have a bfp at 7dpo LOL

Got a bfn, that's what I get for rushing wink1.gif

I'll try with you, what day are you thinking? Today I'm only 7 dpo, so I'll be waiting proooooobably until Wednesday.

I take a prenatal, folic acid, B Complex & a B6.  I've probably never been so healthy in my entire life!  haha  I've pretty much quit drinking any caffeine (though I do have a cup of coffee occasionally!).  Otherwise just regular food.

nstewart the dream must have been amazing!!!  Sad to wake up, but maybe just maybe it was a sign.....here's hoping for you!

I'm still waiting to O.  CD10 for me here.  Last month I didn't O until about CD 19, but I started OPK'ing today just to be sure I don't miss anything.  DH thinks we should just DTD every single day and not bother with OPK's.  Imagine that....!   ;-)

I would like to be taken out of the thread, please. We are now waiting to ttc for at least another 6 months and probably more like 9-12. It was a shock to the system at first when my husband said he wanted to wait a while, but I think I have made peace with it now, given what he's going to be able to invest in a new baby 9 months from now versus 18-24 months from now.

I wish you all the best of luck with conceiving!

Hugs, erigeron. I would be crushed. We're TTC "for awhile" and I honestly don't know what that means. How long is "awhile"? I'm afraid to ask. He didn't wasn't kids past 40 and hits 40th was in March.

erigeron - I have removed you from the first post. Good luck in all you do and I hope you have a swift and easy time TTC when you come back to it!

Blonhrt88 - LOL about testing at 7DPO. That itch to POAS is terrible, isn't it? I'm sure 7dpo is just too early, I hope you get a nice big BFP when you next test smile.gif
post #95 of 210
Erigeron, I think when it's right and your both ready you'll have an amazing experience while TTC, I'm sorry to see you leave the thread but good luck.

AFM, cramping has continued all day and night, and I can add a slight cold and insomnia to my list of symptoms. Also, in laws are coming Thursday through Sunday to see off DH before he leaves the country for two weeks.

If a little bean IS cooking, I'm thinking I will really have my hands full as far as who and when to announce things! I've already decided DS will be the first to know, hahaha.

Is anyone else feeling symptoms too?

Good luck erigeron.  I hope that when the time comes to TTC again you have an easy time getting that BFP.

Blonhrt99 - Wednesday sounds good to me!  I did a test at 8DPO last month.  lol.  I couldn't help it!

brogansmamma - I find it interesting when we put limits on ourselves for a particular "deadline" in our lives.  Hopefully "a while" means until you get your BFP.  What is so different about being 39 years plus 364 days old vs 40?  I think also that our ideas about what a particular age or number "means" can change drastically as we approach it. winky.gif  Hopefully your DH hasn't said anything because he no longer feels it is an issue. smile.gif

DH went back to work after a week of vacation time. We did hope I'd O while he was off but so far no O and today was CD17. Did have EWCM yesterday AND this morning (last few cycles its only been there for a couple of hours) and tonight I've got a few pimples, so hopefully tomorrow will be the hormone surge of O.

I keep having dreams about twins, and as I'm waking up I think I feel them kicking, and then reality hits.

Ok, DON'T hate me. Just be proud of me for having self control! In laws are coming Thursday night, so I want to test Thursday. Still, that's only 10 dpo. I only have 2 tests left and want to save one for right before DH leaves, just in case.

Are you with me nstewart? If your heart is set on wednesday I totally understand!

Thursday is good.  AF is due on Wednesday so I'd rather find out from her that I am not PG than from a test anyway!!  Besides, by 10 DPO you have a way better chance of not getting a negative PT when you are in fact preggo than at 9DPO, right?  AND my original "plan" (which in retrospect was totally unrealistic) was to wait until Saturday, when AF would be a full 2-3 days LATE.  AS IF I could actually wait until then!

Ok good! The countdown is on. Thursday morning I will be poas before anything else. Better remember to keep a diapie on DS because usually I bring him to the toilet first, lol.
