No...I'm starting to think it's slipprier than before though because it used to be a very obvious shift and now I'm constantly worried what I find is fertile CM. it's only been a couple of weeks since PP bleeding stopped, then I had a pap which I think mucked with things again, so really I've only had a week of un-interupted cervical CM.

 

I think I will reserve the freak outs for full-on stretchy EWCM and assume anything less is normal for now (if things continue how they are).

Subbing!  I'm on CD2.  28 days like clockwork -- but I got a temp shift last cycle!  I think I might have actually O'ed!!  My first 3 post partum cycles were annov.

Hey there, I just read TCOYF. I am getting married (!!!) in May, and the plan is for me to go off of hormonal birth control in October when DF (darling fiancé? Is that a thing? haha) is on tour in Europe and there won't be any chances of hiccups during the FAM earning curve. I wanted to introduce myself and not lurk, because I am going to begin "practicing" charting in September. (I know the hormones in the birth control mean that my body won't operate like it would naturally, but I want to get into the habit of temping and checking CM so it becomes second-nature by the time I start charting without being "under the influence" of The Pill. 

 

I'm inspired by everyone using NFP/FAM and am grateful to everyone posting so that I can learn and grow. I'm taking notes! notes2.gif

I've read a lot of great testimonials about women taking Vitex (an herb also called chaste tree berry) after coming off of hormonal birth control, and they said it regulated their cycles within 1-2 months after taking it! It may be worth trying, since I've heard that it can otherwise take 6 months or more on your own?? Good luck!  :)

The news at my post-op visit was relatively good. There was more tumor than they had initially thought, but it was still only borderline so I get to keep the other ovary for now. However, I will be going on the pill since suppressing ovulation reduces the chance of a recurrence. I appreciate all of the help and support y'all have offered while I was learning about FAM and through all of this.

Winter, I am going to read up on this! I would love to be on a regular cycle as soon as possible after all the hormones are out of my system. Thanks for the tip!

I was just about to post that I need a volunteer to be the new thread mistress. I still want to be in the group but I just don't have the time. I just started nursing school! A little bit stressful and time consuming to say the least. Already my chart is looking crazy and anovulatory, too ;)

I'm on the list, and while i lurk here, and intend to return and participate fully come March, i'm expecting (successful use of NFP to achieve without much forethought) at the end of Feb.  Came back to lurk here cause i miss the mamas!

i would start cycling at 6 months PP each time (4 little ones), but my cycle wasn't regulated to a normal (not extended) cycle til 12 months PP.  between 6-12 months (the reason i have 2 unplanned but greatly wanted little ones) was that i had a hard time charting these super-long cycles where it seemed like all i had was fertile mucus.  My cycles would start at something like 48-58 days, then shorter each cycle until in the 32 day range at 12 months- 13 months.
