Lol, my boys react that way to, "All my friends..." (low rider).

We have wood floors because carpet is gross.

Shay says baba (me), mama and bye bye. He has said diaper and water, but doesn't often. His new trick is to scream like he is in pain and throw himself backward anytime he wants to nurse. So not cool (I think I preferred the biting). I have been showing him the sign for milk for months and he would pat it (did I already write this?) if the answer was yes. Yesterday I started patting my mouth and saying "milky" and he had it in 2 minutes. What gives? Has he been trying to do the other sign and I didn't recognize it or was it too hard to do? He waves and gives five. He can climb in and out of the tub (via his face) now and over the back of the couch. He knows what chocolate chips are and will come very quickly if I open the pantry or fridge. He drinks puréed baby food as smoothies. He takes 1-2 steps but doesn't walk. What else? He generally gets up at 7, 20 minute nap at 9, 1.5 hour nap at noon, 2-3 hour nap at 6 and bed at 9:30 or so.

Next up, first campin trip.

OMG! *melt* I used to sing that song to Casey! And mostly because she's the apple of Billy's eye. He loved hearing me sing it to her. love.gif

Sheesh! I feel like Levi doesn't do anything compared to Shay! lol

Becky, when everyone started talking about what their kids were doing verbally, I felt the same way. His language has really exploded this week. Otherwise, he is still one of the oldest babies in our club and he learns new things every day.

Last night, Greta waved bye-bye when we were leaving a friend's house! She has done this on occasion, but usually she'll wait until we're out the door so no one sees her do it but me. But my friend's little boy was waving really big at DD1 and yelling "Bye, friends! See you late friends!" and DD1 was waving really big, so Greta joined in too. So cute!

Yesterday, she was standing up to her little activity table, pushed it up against the toy box, then tried her darndest to climb onto the table to get on the toy box. She was unsuccessful this time, but it was hilarious watching her try.

Ash, Whole Foods sells Bac Out... you want the odor and stain remover.  I'm sure other places around there do as well.  Maybe PCC and little natural grocers, maybe even Fred Meyer.  It's cheapest, though through the UNFI or Azure Standard food clubs if you're a part of one of those. I used to buy it by the gallon as it is awesome for spraying on poop diapers.  Avery is still doing well with EC so I may not have to deal with too many more poop diapers in my life time.  Knock on wood!  But it's great for all kinds of organic stains.

That's true, Sara. Shay is like 3 weeks older and Levi's mobility has exploded in the last 10 days. Hands and knees crawling, pulling up, TRYING to cruise....

Sora is going on almost 2 hours napping right now... bigeyes.gif We haven't had one of these long naps in ages. Go, Sora, go! Keep on zzzzzzzing! bouncy.gif I may actually sit and read my Kindle now... uninterrupted. Hoorah!

I will have to get some Bac-out.  Can you buy it at stores or do you have to order it?

Super Supplements has Bac Out for a good price. Fred Meyer also carries it but I think it might have been a little less at Super Supplements.

I too get headaches from chemical scents.

Big fans of the Cuppycake song here too, nothing soothes him like that song.

Thanks for the tips on croup. I ended up taking him to the doc where he got a breathing treatment (awful experience), a steroid shot and antibiotics (for the baby version of a sinus infection). No more barking cough and difficulty breathing. I'm concerned about the antibiotics-anyone recommend a probiotic for him? (we're not doing much dairy due to his earlier sensitivity).

Joanie, sitting down for some you-time is a surefire way to get her to wake up!  At least in my experience.  LOL!

I was just at fred meyer this morning! I will have to go back this weekend. I could really use it for my diapers.

I am a big fan of Pharmax brand HLC neonate probiotics.  I buy them online from Professional Supplement Center.  They are human strain and casein and soy free.

Hi Abra! I just want to add that in my experience, torticollis really needs some sort of intervention in order to resolve - it doesn't get better on its own.  Are you doing any kind of exercises for her?  The exercises I did for one of the babies I nannied for were annoying but very, very effective - I think we started them when she was roughly 3 months old and by the time she was 1 her torticollis was 100% resolved. So I hope you can do something similar for Coralie.

Hope you're having a great time on the road!

Yes, we are doing stretches, making sure she sleeps on her bad side and encouraging her to look into her weak side.  I took her to our pedi and our chiro and they both agreed that is should be enough.  They said if it's still a problem by 18mo, than they might have to do something more.  Sometimes it's totally fine and then other days she's all crooked again.  Overall it seems like it's getting better a little bit at a time.
