MamanFrancaise, can't believe you're that close! I'm 35+1 today and feel like it's a ways away.
Carlin, I hope you get some great inspiration for your birth playlist at the music fest!
Judybean, keep cool :) your bp seems so related to your stress level, I hope you get a chance to just relax, somewhere nicely air-conditioned. Are you still sewing for the baby?
Something's definitely up with my LO . . . I think the he might have dropped. Is it too early for that? I know he's been vertex for weeks if not months now, and that hasn't changed.
Since yesterday I have a less 'lung squeeze' and more space between my breasts and belly when I'm sitting down, and I am suddenly getting little jolts of pain down my sciatic nerve and a pinchy / jolt feeling in my upper inner thigh when I bend or stand, sometimes for no real reason. The need to pee has increased tremendously - I peed a bit today randomly, just going about my morning, had no control over it. Been getting more touches and pokes on my cervix too - it's such a funny feeling, doesn't hurt but I can't say that I like the feeling. Legs are also kind of funky - they feel kind of dead sometimes now, like they're made of wood. I see my midwife next Tues, and we'll be doing my first (and I think only) cervical check, so I'm excited to find out where he is in terms of engagement. Also curious to see what my cervix is up to these days.
Had another 4am feast this morning (big glass of milk, plate of crackers & cheese) after a lovely filling dinner too. Has anyone else noticed a big increase in their hunger levels?
Isn't it strange the way that motherly instincts make you feel extra love for the baby because he's pinching your cervix and making you hungry and forcing you to pee your pants? Why do these things make me feel more connected to him than ever???? And when will he get here? <3 <3
My mother arrives on Saturday morning for 12 days, I can't wait to see her! It's always kind of a mixed bag of emotions because we live far apart, but we're very close (talk almost every day), but also drive each other kind of crazy. :0
