Yeah. Mostly trying to avoid carbs. I have to be gluten free so that helps. I've been chowing down on cheese and pistachios most of the time.  Was trying to do the two eggs a day until dh limited me to his really old eggs and honestly those things are almost as bad as store bought eggs which I never liked.

I am dealing with the hungry nauseous lady stuff too. And trying, also to keep eating about what I normally would pre pregnancy. Not always an easy task. I have a tendency to gain about twice what is actually need. I'm hoping to have better habits and be healthier this time.

I dont know if I'd end up just going to the hospital to deliver but going to my midwife for prenatal care...I dont know if I'd just hire my friend/past midwife as a doula. I dont know. It's scary to me to think of going to the hospital where I lose control. I like the control I have in my home. AHHHH....

Needless to say for caregiver reasons and for planning reasons and for vehicle buying reasons (we have a 7 passenger van that is filled up....don't want to buy something for 8 if we need something for 9 lol) I am highly considering an 8 week ultrasound so that I can KNOW what is going to happen. ugh. I haven't decided yet but I think I've talked myself into it. I've never had an u/s that early and usually just get one per pregnancy....I know I want one later not to know what sex but to see if we are dealing with clubfoot again or if we are not. LOL. I dont want to go thru clubfoot all over again but obviously I dont have a choice.....however I would like to know ahead of time if I can.

Anyway....those are my ramblings for the night. I think it's funny how many of us think/wish/hope/kinda fear twins lol. I have wanted twins since before I had children and I would love them now...but eeek...the thought kind of scares me now...and really it's probably just not in my cards and that is ok but ack! LOL...My mom's mother's brother was a twin...so technically she could have passed the gene on....but yeah...not that likely lol.

LOL I always think I might have twins and measure so far ahead each time that it doesn't help.  Always been one though!  Even when my hcg was off the charts there was still one.  :P

If all goes well this time we too will need a new van (ours is a 7 pass and full too).  I am scared of driving something bigger than 8 passenger though.  That'd be a lot to wrap my head around.  They only saw one sac/yolk sac when I was in there though so I'm pretty sure we are OK.

I've booked for a scan next week so I can find out as I'm going crazy thinking about twins and I want my mind to shut up!

Apart from that I'm feeling a bit better right now, I think lots of chicken is helping keep the morning (all day all night) sickness at bay. I slept almost 10 hours last night. My hubby is fab for letting me sleep in all morning!

I have gotten in to watching birth videos on youtube and have finally put my own from three years up!

If you guys want to read/watch it you can find it here - http://www.naturalparentingguidelines.com/holistic-pregnancy/video-story-the-birth-of-kaelyn-peaceful-home-water-birth-using-hypnobirthing

I'm actually really looking forward to the birth again! I loved it last time. And new squishy babies are so cute.

That is exactly how I was with my first. I thought I was dying I was so hungry. I ate like crap with that pregnancy and I think it made my morning sickness last even longer. This time I am just not hungry. Or if I am hungry it will be for something we don't have. All I have really been wanting is red meat and milk and tomato products, but cheese or carbs do not sound appealing. I am also only 4 weeks pregnant today so it can change, too.

Maybe your body is craving protein or fats and your constant hunger is an attempt to get them in any way possible.

I just started doing a coconut oil breakfast shake thing. It is 1/2 cup plain yogurt, 2 TBSP melted coconut oil, 2 TBSP ground flax seed, and I add a little juice so it is drinkable. It's ok to drink, doesn't taste too nasty or anything.

My biggest complaint right now are my hips. They are killing me! And I don't know why unless my pelvis is shifting or something. They even hurt when I am just sitting.

Oh my gosh. I'm in the same boat. I had this same level of yuckys with both of my previous. I have found that eating a smaller meal every 2 hours works wonders.... But finding good stuff to eat that is appetizing is rough! Cashews and dried cherries, cottage cheese and pineapple seem to go down well.

here is my coconut shake (high calorie, too)

Little more than 1/3 cup coconut milk

A little more than 2/3 cup almond milk (or milk ) ,  really good with chocolate milk

3 tbs peanut butter

2 good squirts of flax oil , or about 2 tbs olive oil or coconut oil

1 nice side banana

blend in blender or use a stick (immersion blender)

Sorry about the approximate measurements

Anyone else having diarrhea with their nausea?  I was sick sick last night with horrible stomach cramps with it too.  It isn't the first pg I've had this happen.  I don't know why I'm so weird.  LOL

Yes, the really bad nausea episodes seem to go hand in hand with the diarrhea.

OK...I was gagging at the same time so that makes sense.  It is nice to know I'm not the only one!  yeesh.

I would cry if I was having twins, and not in the good way. I know my limitations, and I can't handle caring for DD and two babies AND managing my ADD...especially since (if all goes well), DH will be starting medical school next year. Fortunately, I'm not actually worried that I will have twins.

My nausea is insane this time around and I definitely suspect the progesterone pills. I'll be so happy when the time comes that I am no longer having regular nausea... Assuming I don't wind up with it the entire pregnancy.

Diarrhea...yes. I spent a good portion of yesterday miserable on the toilet. With my last pregnancy I never threw up, but I spent A LOT of time in the bathroom with the runs. I'm not sure which is worse....

Yesterday and today and I feel horrible. Hopefully that means everything is going as it should!

Diarrhea..... check!  I saw in the vitamin thread that Spruce said Rainbow Light (which is what I am taking for now) helps with constipation.  If this is the result for me I might have to switch!  Maybe it is just a nausea pregnancy thing, but I am eyeing my vitamins with serious suspicion.

Thanks for your patience guys!! I've been trying to add everyone on Saturday nights (so that I can make sure I have the time to get all the info right!! dizzy.gif) but this weekend was super busy for me - I'm apprenticing with a doula/CBE with over 30 years experience and this was our big birth prep weekend workshop and it's exhausting! I promise I'll update either today or tomorrow and get all our new mama's added and everyone information corrected.

I wish there was a way to give the other mods permission to edit this post too, but I don't see any way to do it either Also, I can't find a way to make it a sticky post - in the old DDC's a mod could make the post sticky so it was always at the top of the page.

Thanks again for understanding! I promise I haven't just forgotten to do it lol.

ok...so I have two appointments set up to meet two of the midwives in my area. Yay. I have called the doctor my friend suggested to see if they will do a scan for me (without having a referring midwife or doctor...but the person that does a scan IS a doctor not a "tech" sooo...)...anyway...we'll see what they say. If they say no I guess I'll just have to wait on the one vs two baby thing lol.

Camprunner. I have had a 15 passenger in the past (we sold it because it was A: overkill at the time and B: it wasn't great on gas...worse than most of the same type lol). Anyway...so wishing we'd held on to it so there would be less freaking and more relaxing lol. But really 15 is overkill still 12 would be fine. They really aren't any bigger (the 12's) than an 8...well of the full sized vehicles not the mini's. Anyway. It's not as bad as it seems. I loved driving it. I felt on top of the world lol. Just looking for a nicer one this time. That one was pretty old lol.

I still can't get over saying SIX kids. Whew. Seems unreal! LOL. We've told most everyone. Well....a couple guessed....and we told a couple lol. Then had my oldest announce it at church on Sunday. Shocked the congregation. And then had someone posting comments on my FB about it so I didn't want to have to watch and delete comments to much earlier than we were going to we announced it on FB. So I guess we aren't keeping it to ourselves. Surprisingly everyone has been great about it. However usually the comments aren't when we first tell them it's when I start looking huge and miserable and they think I'm nuts lol. Well I guess it's been both at telling and at that point....just HAPPY it's not been bad this time. Yeah.

Ok....that is my little or not so little update.

Yay! I've gotten into a midwife practice! Now that our province covers midwives, the waiting lists are crazy! So glad these ladies took me. They fudged things a bit and took me as a May patient, since they're booked for April. I'm due late April. Hopefully this baby won't come ten days early like DD did.
