I'm asking on behalf of a friend, really! She lives in NJ and was hoping for a home birth but her insurance wouldn't cover it and the fees were prohibitively high (I don't remember what they were, but much higher that here in VT or in SC where my son was born).
I really don't know how much more looking she did, so I did a quick internet search. I also wanted to ask the MDC moms for their input since that's where I get a lot of great advice for myself.
If you know of any home birth midwives, please share their names and info with me/us.
