So, I have bee trying to read online and in book form everything I can about UC. What I am noticing is a lot of these books seem to be the same after awhile. They all seem to come from the perspective of "this is what is wrong with birth today and so here is why many women choose UC" but I already get all that, KWIM? They don't need to tell my why it is a good idea....I already am on board (though they have been good to pass on to DH). They have a lot of good birth stories included but that isn't really what I am looking for.
I guess what I can't see to find are more practical books. More like "how to" books. I have read the Emergency Childbirth book. I guess I am looking for something that is more along the lines of "here are your options for what you can tie the cord off with" (I know that is not the most heavy decision to be made it's just something that needs to be decided) and practical things like that. Maybe I should be looking for midwifery books instead?? The midwife that we did not hire recommended that we take an infant CPR course (when I told her we were doing UC)...seems like a good idea since I don't remember much of anything from back when I was certified.
As far as essential oils there seems to be enough online resources to read.
I am pretty confident with the actual birthing part...my body seems to be able to handle that without me having to pre-plan.
Does anyone have resources to recommend?
