baby gate alarm

Hi,

Has anyone installed any baby gate alarm before? My 17-month boy starts figuring out

how to open the gate! Have anybody looked at this website?

We have a gate that you have to push back the latch AND lift it up at the same time. My daughter is a mastermind at this stuff and she hasn't been able to figure it out yet:  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000F1MUKM/ref=wms_ohs_product

For the wood gate with the arm that clips on we've used gorilla tape (kind alike duct tape) and wrapped it all around the clip area. That tape is SO sticky even I cant get it apart! Thanks graciegal for the reply. So for the tape, how we can open the gate when we want to?

We make a little pull tab to help (but still way too sticky for her) and then end up having to replace the tape every 3-4 days- it stays super sticky but after awhile loses it. We also use the gorilla tape to keep the patio door open for her because she likes to close it when she shouldnt (we tape the door to the nearby cabinet!), and we put some on the diaper genie lid to keep it closed from her prying fingers, on the fan knob so she doesnt turn it, literally it's all over our house :D

i have an iPhone baby monitor and have had 3 kinds now, i would not be comfortable counting on a internet connection and/or my phone for anything that could be as time sensitive of a safety issues and a open gate.

i vote for one that is harder to open or one that the adults just step over.
