Working from home ideas

Thread Starter

Hi there to build on a previous thread.  I'm a part of a mom's network and this is always one hot topic of discussion.  My best advice is to put together an awesome presentation of your skills.  Rather than a traditional resume create an executive summary of all of your skills.  The next part is hard but a strong drive and a "I'd rather die then give up attitude." is what will land your home based job.  If it's admin work you are looking to do.  Send your resume to an admin job opening and once you are called for an interview.  The hard part comes in "sell yourself." Give that company great reasons why they should consider allowing you to do their work from your house.

Whether is be that you are a hard worker, self motivated. Able to tackle a heavy workload since you not under the typical 9 to 5 time constraints.  Do you want to do contract work if so the interview is a great time to suggest it.

I've heard to "network" but honestly go out there by yourself.  There is no harm in trying.  Unrelenting persistence is the key.
