Anyone believe in full moon babies? « Back to Group Discussions

So ladies. We have a full moon comeing on August 30! I bet we will see a lot of deliveries on the 31st. My last two pregnancies labor began on a full moon. I unfortunately will not be far enough along this full moon. I will only be 36 weeks. Anyone anticipating good luck during that time frame?

And there's another one on September 29th I've been thinking that this baby might come Oct 1st, so that might mean I'll go into labor on the 29th Interesting!

I haven't had a full moon baby yet, but I'd be happy to with this one Aug 31st puts me at 38w6d. Good enough for me!

I've been wondering about that full moon in September - it's less than a week after my due date!

Septembers full moon is on my due date. So I guess with this LO I probably couldn't blame it on the moon.

My son was born on the full moon back in December 2010.  It was also the Winter Solstice!  From the very beginning of my pregnancy with him I kept telling him he should be my solstice kid...and he was!!  This baby is due on Sep. 8 and the Autumnal Equinox is in September, but I doubt I'll make it that long.  If I go a bit early this could be another full mooner, but I tend to go over a few days if history repeats. It would be really cool because it's also a blue moon.  Now, the blue moon is very bittersweet for me because the little girl we lost at 20 weeks was buried under the last blue moon back in on December 31, 2009.  We found out we were expecting this new baby EXACTLY two years later this past December.  Too weird!!  I'm hoping this blue moon brings happy memories instead!  I'm sure SOMEONE here will have a full moon baby....

Aug 31 is a blue moon! A lot of my friends in the birth world (doulas, midwives,assistants) say they absolutely see more babies on or near the full moon!

We must have the same due date (Sept.29th). With DS, I had him a day before his due date, so a full moon baby is definitely not out of the question, we shall see...
