Baby Names?

For those who don't mind sharing, what names have you come up with? (I'm in the process of searching for a name and need a little inspiration!) Also, if you have any suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

we had a name picked out, and i had posted it on a previous name thread and then even on the 20 week thread, and then dh suddenly decided he wasn't into it. but almost immediately we came up with another name and we both think it's perfect and fits much better than the one we thought we had picked. new dd is going to be named Valencia Grace.

do you know if you are having a boy or girl? one of the main reasons we find out the sex is for naming purposes, because for us it just seems easier to come up with one right name than to have to come up with two right names knowing that one of them will be ditched.

I love the name you have chosen! So cute! We are having our third boy (naming all these boys is becoming hard! lol) We are kind of on a celtic/nature name theme (my other boys are named Liam and Rowan) and I have looked through list after list of celtic/irish/scottish names along with other nature type names and nothing. My husband keeps coming up with names I'm not totally on board with, they just don't feel "right" to me, you know? I have a theory that because I can't settle on a name, it's because we are really having a girl and the ultrasound tech was wrong. lol. We have had a girls name picked out forever, Nora Mae.

Our sweet boy is named Gabriel Hawthorne love.gif

And mamadiamond-LOVE the name Valencia Grace!!

Girl name: Seradwynn Arrianna

boy name: Talysen Jacob

I haven't convinced Dp of either yet ;)

I am not much help. I am at a loss too!

The girl name we had picked out was Charlotte Adele (both grandmothers middle names) but we are having a boy soooo that one is out!

We considered the male version of Charlotte....Charlie. But we both know some Charlie's that we don't care for.rolleyes.gif

My favorite this week is Marcus but DH doesn't love it or hate it. DH is really leaning towards the Eli, Elijah, Elias, Elliott names. We have a very biblical last name so we have to be careful about picking other biblical sounding names.

I tend to like short names. My kids are Ava, Ana and Gabriel so it would be odd to add in something long like Benjamin or Sebastian, you know?

Purplemama, did you find out what you are having or are you looking for names for both?

This baby will be Talia Hope or Arielle Hope. My grandmother was Harriet, so the H middle name is an homage to her. Boys names are so much harder, but a son probably would've been Samuel.

To the OP, based on your other children's names, I think you should stick with your Irish influence. I like Rian, Niall, Caolan, Cian, Finn...

Well, we just may have settled on a name! We are thinking of naming him Cedar James. What do you all think?

No middle name or girls name. Dh likes Sophia but not sure.

Purplemamaturtle- I love the name Cedar James! love.gif

Whew! I think we got it. I had picked Marcus but was really having a hard time with a middle name that wasn't too common, feminine, strange, long, biblical etc. Some of the names that I came up with DH said were "too white" (this has been a running thing with us in naming our kids....my blood is about as British as can be and DH is Syrian/Italian)....

So, I came up with this on that we both LOVE.....Marcus Amir. smile.gif

The kids love it too! My syrian MIL and BIL even love it. Yeah, I am happy all around. joy.gif

Marcus Amir is a gorgeous name tropicana!thumb.gif

And lololololol about what your DH said...we are such a jumble over here (thankfully) that I don't have to worry about it, although DH has this irrational fear of making sure that our boys have 'sturdy' ?!? sounding names....to which I reply "So if their names aren't 'sturdy' then do they blow over easily?" headscratch.gif

That's a good strong name!! How do you feel about the nickname of CJ? (We have had a couple friends with these initials that use C.J. as their name...I can't actually say that I know their real names...I think one is Clarence?!)
I personally love initials used as nicknames. I purposely named our daughter Ana Jolene so that we could call her A.J. (but for some reason we never used it and she is always Ana Jo or JoJo). shrug.gif

I love Cedar James & Marcus Adir :)

Talysen Jacob (if he is a he) will probably be called TJ. So maybe CJ & TJ could be buddies ;)

I have always considered the name Cedar for a son. I know that this child will not get that name, but i do like that name. I enjoy earthy names very much ; )

My kids names are all over, gaelic/Irish, Hebrew,Italian, Greek
Katelyn, Breanna, Danelle, Morgann, Terresa, Isabella, Giovanna and my son is Timothy but goes by Teo(Used to go by Tiomtheo)
Terresa, Isabella and Giovanna are al form of family names on my moms side.
Their middle names are all in some way after a sibling. I have 2step-sons and the oldest two girls have female verisons of the boys name, then Morgann doesn't but she was named for my grandmother that passed while I was very preg and her middle name is Renee(born again).

Might use Jonathan after Giovanna for Nathaniel's middle name.

If we have a girl I really want another hebrew name as only one of the girls have a Hebrew name.

Only my son goes by anything other then his full name so nn aren't an issue.
