Friday, I checked into the hospital for a blood transfusion because my platelet count was extremly low. About an hour after check in, I started having sharp, nonstop pain right below my left rib cage. The nurses decided to call my OB. Turns out Baby B has a placental abruption. The rushed me in to the OR, put me under, and delivered by emergency c-section. Felix Isabelle Garcia was born Friday August 10th at 5.03 PM, 19 inches long, 6lbs 4oz. She was followed by Carlos Ezekiel (Zeke) Garcia, August 10th at 5.04 PM, 18 inches long, 5lbs 14oz. Both babies are doing great, no NICU star, both breathing room air and bottle feeding.

I'm recovering from the surgery, and post-partum heamouarge. We will probably be in the hospital for my sake until mid next week. I just had to share, and will post photos as soon as I can.

Congratulations, mama!!! Sounds like a frightening situation, but you all came out at the end strong! Keep up the good work and enjoy those babies on the outside!!

Congratulations!  Definitely sounds like a scary situation in that it was so sudden but glad to hear that everyone is doing well!  Take good care of yourself and those sweet babies :)  Looking forward to seeing pictures!
