Is your baby moving less now?

Just wondering...

My baby who has been breech for most of the third trimester moved *all the time*  I couldn't speak or sit or walk or anything without HUGE movement, all day long it felt (maybe it was trying to turn?).  Now the baby is head down it moves so much less.  Like less than 50% less.  I called my midwife over on saturday and she checked the heart rate etc and all seemed fine.  Then still freaked about the lack of movement I went to be monitored in hospital for a bit just to check there were actually variations in the baby's pulse.  Again all seemed fine.  I guess I am just startled at the night and day feeling aspect of the baby moving less.  Anyone else experience this?

Thanks,

I have noticed periods of decreased movement.. But i think it has somthing to do with babys sleep and wake patterns. when she moves its ridiculous... Painful sometimes, but she just feels huge to me.

Yeah, this little guy moves less than before. It is more like on/off. He has periods of moving a lot (a lot of rolling/stretching) then periods of nothing at all. I too, believe it's the sleep/wake pattern.

the sleep/wake thing def. plays a part, also there is less room to move. it is typical to feel less as space gets more cramped. as long as you are still feeling movement periodically throughout the day you're golden.

With a big position change like that, it's possible you not feeling all of the movements too. Sometimes I feel a ton--like when baby is posterior. Others, I don't feel nearly as much movement.  I feel movement, but it's more subtle, if that makes sense.
