(potentially stupid) Whole30 question

Hi Ladies

For those of you who have done this, how super militant were you about the rules?  We have a costco-size container of salsa, which contains 2% or less of sugar, that I've been eating with eggs in the morning (couple tablespoons).  I feel like I'm knowingly/definatly going against the rules of paying attention to ingeredients and fully avoiding anything with added sugar, but I don't want to waste it.  How bad is this?

You definitely want to be 100% with the Whole30 to get the full rewards from it. Is the salsa unopened? Will it last until the end of the 30 days?

I figured.  Annoying.  Its opened already and one of those fresh pico de gallo-type salsas.  I've been draining the juice which is where I assumed most of the sugar would be.  I'm going to try and force feed it to DH, but I'm hyper about wasting food so I may need to be almostWhole30 for the next few days until its gone.

That should be fine! Just eat as Whole30 as you can and then begin counting the 30 days once the salsa is gone.

That's what I've been doing and its been going well.  And the salsa is almost finished!
