Even though everyone has told me that drinking ice cold water is a good way to get baby kicking, I've found that really warm liquid (like tea) is the only thing that gets the little pickle going everytime.

I guess it takes after it's mum :)

I think I'm starting to feel movements at 16 weeks

wow. the past two days have been amazing. i keep feeling these little taps and flutters, it's so beautiful. i can't help but hold my belly and grin like an idiot.

i'll be 18 weeks tomorrow and still barely feeling anything.. the past 2 days i've felt stronger flutters right after dinner, IF i lay on the couch and concentrate (but it still sometimes just feels like gas) .. this is the latest i've had to wait to feel strong movement (this is #4), i know everything is ok, its just placenta placement but i'm kind of sad about it..i felt my first earlier than this!   - the only time i feel an obvious tap/kick is when i bump my belly into something and anger the baby, but i try not to do that too often ;)

i'm 19 weeks and i barely feel anything still. :(

i know it's in there because i've used a doppler, but if i hadn't been able to do that i'd be SO scared and stressed right now.

feeling all pouty this morning (obvious from the above post) and then tonight i pushed on my belly and felt baby kick back from the outside! (and the inside) - that is something i don't usually feel until 22-24 weeks.. so here i am at 18 weeks hardly feeling regular movement but i felt a kick from the outside..  so odd, but it really made me feel better..

My Midwife told us that it can take up to 22-25 weeks to feel the baby, so I'm trying to not get my hopes up too soon.  I'm 17.5 weeks and haven't really felt much yet, aside from the occasional weird feeling, that I can't really make out what it was.  I do know my placenta is at the back though, so that should help with feeling the little one when the time comes.

i get some good taps in the evening when the kids go down.  and the other night, late, had some solid thumps i could feel from outside.  i could also feel the curve of the baby's back recently when it felt odd- the baby was transverse (which is very unusual and feels strange to me) and could feel the solid curve of little body, a little longer than the length of my hand, stretched out in me.  then it shifted.... so amazing.

Still just the occasional flutter, so tiny I have to hold my breath to make sure I get the chance to register it. So I don't know if everyone see this happen but my bump moves even though I'm barely showing. I can see the baby being off to the right side when I wake up in the morning. I think this is from my sleep position? Later in the day the position is sometimes different. Today my osteopath moved it with some adjustments because he wants to make sure my bump stays more centred and doesn't pull my back and pelvis out of alignment. Anyway, those flutters might be ever so slight but I really am fascinated by the way this whole uterus shifts around. Someone really is living in there.

typebug- my bump is a totally mobile little lump.  sometimes low, sometimes up under my belly button, right side, left side, all over!

So, as of yesterday, graduated from flutters to kicks.  real, firm, distinct kicks a lot while i was cooking yesterday.  then last night, quiet.  (whoohoo- one who sleeps at night) but my little  41/2 year old couldn't sleep so she came to snuggle while i read.  baby DOWN.  no poking or rubbing could make the bump move.  then about 20 minutes later (found head and feet again) got some whumping solid kicks that couldn't be denied!

very happy to be able to feel the form and movement of a strong little one right now.

I definitely felt kicks last night! Hubby and I were watching Battlestar Galactica (oh yes) and it started going crazy! It was so strong DH could feel them too! I'm only 16.5 weeks, so I'm surprised (and happy!) to be feeling real kicks so soon!

My bump moves around, too. Late at night he/she goes SUPER low and stretches out. It's a tad uncomfortable right on my bladder!

I love feeling the baby lump! I can lay down on my back and will often have a big lump and can clearly feel the outline of the baby. My four y/o DS can too and gets SO excited! So cute!

Yay! So exciting. ;) I felt more last night (we're 17 weeks now) than I have before and tried to wake my hubby to feel but he is a comatose sleeper. Oh well. Soon he'll get his chance.

DH is starting to be able to feel the little thumps now! I think he's finding it difficult to distinguish between baby and the various other things going on in my belly still, so there's a lot of "was that one?".

I keep reassuring him that soon enough he'll be able to just look at my belly and see baby kicking and squirming around, but I think he thinks I've exaggerating. I can't wait to see his eyes bulge out of his head when it starts happening :)

I keep forgetting that because it's happening in my body I can feel the kicks a lot better than someone who just has their hand on my skin! But DH has gotten to feel a few so that's cool.

DH has felt the baby a few times, but he has no patience to just sit with his hand on my belly, so unless baby moves on demand, Dh doesn't feel it.

I am feeling tons of movement everyday now.  I love it!

FINALLY 17.5 weeks yesterday and had a kick I could feel on the outside of my tummy with my hand. Later that night my hubby got to feel three. Seems to happen right when I roll onto my back. I think the baby doesn't like that and I'm getting the memo "hey, side please." ;)

I keep feeling movement when I wake at night, then by morning I can't actually tell if it was real or I was dreaming. I'm 19 weeks and was hoping to feel more by now since this is my second, but I never feel anything during the day. I know my uterus is tipped back, so I'm sure that's a big reason why, but I'm still excited for the day to come when I feel regular movement!
