I can't hear Bristol without automatically thinking "Palin."

I was thinking exactly the same things! (Major JW fans over here... actually seriously considering Malcom if this babe is a boy lol.gif )

I love Anchor. It is a little different, but it sounds so nice that it doesn't take long for my brain to go "oh, yeah, of course that's a nice name!" I like most of your Alaska names. And most of them are not at all silly.

What about Alaska as a name? Place names seem to be a pretty normal thing (Paris for example).

Haha, DH says no about every "Alaska" name I come up with, including Alaska. He likes Denali, the mountain range Mt. McKinley is in, but I used to have a dog named that >.<

I literally used to live 4 houses away from the Palin's haha.. .but Bristol is a pretty common name up here, and an awesome fishing spot!

Ooh...Denali is beautiful for a boy or girl!

The short version of one of our top girl choices is the same as my pet cat when I was younger. I'm not letting it stop me. lol

Alaskan, What about Aurora? =)

Ooh! It was fun reading all of your name ideas! I absolutely love names! There is a tradition in my family of 2 or even 3 middle names, so I have a lot of thinking to do!
My favorite for first names are:
Ariadne, Lila, Poppy, Rosemary and Thalia.
Arthur, Howell, Isaac, Ovid, and Zephyr.

I love the name Homer! I really wish that name had never been clouded by The Simpson's!

One of my daughters is named Willow, and one is named Ariadne. They both seem pretty happy with their names. ;-)

Love, penelope

One ofthe boy names we loved but didn't use last time was Major. We unintentionally named the first four kids with two syllable names...and then on the fifth I liked a couple one syllable names and we threw them out because when we said them all together it sounded funny to have the last one as a short one syllable name lol. We liked Blaine and Pierce. I also like Frank, it's my grandpa's name (well nick name...his name was Francis but he never would acknowledge that...so Frank was it LOL)....

But again it just doesn't sound right to use a one syllable name so we'll be figuring out a two syllable at least name lol.

For a boy I'm loving Adrian or Levi. Middle name will be William after Dh's Grandpa.

Girl's names are still up in the air.  Eden was my top name but I also like Ruby, Cora, and Skye. Middle name will be Juliet.

My Dh and I don't usually talk names until after the 1st trimester though.  These are just my ideas right now. I'm sure he'll veto them just like he usually does!

Popping over from the May DDC, (I'm due May 1, so I will probably play here sometimes) and I just wanted to say that I LOVE the name Ariadne, what a lovely choice!

OMG. Benji is adorable! Love! I would possibly steal that if we hadn't pretty much settled on our boy name. lol

I think I'm having a boy too. My guess was right with DD but, geesh, I had a 50/50 chance! lol

I'm just calling it Turducken for now (because pregnant ladies are like turducken for zombies). DP is calling it Bip because, for now, that's all it is, a little bip on the proverbial radar. lol.gif

We have all H names. Hollie, Haylie, Heidi, Hannah. For this one if it is a girl I really like the name Henley. If its a boy my oldest is insisting that we name him Henry. Not crazy about that name. I really like Harrison or Hayden.

My name is Holly. :)  I didn't love my name when I was little, but I do now.

Harrison used to be our top pick for a boy name, before we even had DD. But now that Harry is starting to be a more popular name, I nixed it, much to DH's frustration. lol  Still love the name though. I just have sort of a weird obsession with *trying* to give my kids names that are "normal" but uncommon enough that they'll never have to go by their first name AND last initial in a class. That's how my name was for me and I loved that. Of course, right after DD was born her name started climbing in popularity. :/

Yep, that's us too. DH is Michael and he HATED having 50 other kids at his school with the same name. One year he had like 3 in his class!
