Is there any foods that make you want to hurl yet?
My husband cooked plain white rice today and it took everything in me not to get sick... it was horrifying. With my other two its both been eggs that get to me, but yesterday we had eggs for breakfast with no issues.
I'm glad I'm not alone with the white rice.. I thought that was the WEIRDEST thing to be grossed out by lol. My husband was like "Seriously, WHITE RICE? There's no taste, let alone smell to it!"... no, no there is :P.
Mmmm syrup sounds really good to me.. on buttermilk pancakes..
I'm with you. Everything but watermelon sounds horrible. But, I am the most well-hydrated sicko you could ever imagine!
Eggs and milk are the WORST. Our normal whole wheat bread is gross too, as is anything else kind of dry and starchy.
couldn't eat my dinner tonight either. Hubby pan fried some chicken (without sauce, per my request) and the smell about did me in. I tried to take a couple of bites but it just tasted raw. It wasn't, it just tasted that way to me. Ick. Someone mentioned rootbeer floats on their facebook page a little bit ago and I'm seriously thinking about sending DH to the store for rootbeer.... and so it begins!
They're fantastic! He was smart and bought cans of root beer instead of a 2L bottle... so now I have a stash and I have been having one pretty much every night. It's bizarre because I can't stomach most anything else that's sweet, but a root beer float sure hits the spot! I'm being good though - just 1/2 can of soda and one scoop of ice cream, so it's not *so* bad lol.
I haven't had any super bad aversions, but I've had a lot of situations where I want something, take four bites, and then I am totally not interested in eating any more of it.
I haven't had any m/s (yet, knock on wood), and didn't with my first pregnancy either. My only aversion during the first pregnancy was cooked tomato. And my only consistent craving then was potatoes (mashed, french fries, hash browns, baked, whatever - I just wanted potatoes). But this time around I seem to be all over the map in what I want/don't want. I do seem to be consistently craving avocado though. Yum.
Would it be cheaper to ship in a little bottle of root beer extract? Then you could have DIY root beer.
I am not sure if it is a food aversion so much as a complete lack of interest in any of the cooked veggies my DH cooks, particularly kale. I used to eat an egg every morning. No longer. I don't like the smell of toasted sesame oil.
I am wanting to eat starches and carbs. And feeling somewhat guilty about it.
Eating lots of fruit though! Tons of apples. (With almond butter - prob because I am not getting enough protein?)
