Bi-Weekly Chat Thread (thru 9/2) - Page 2

Our anniversary was Saturday.  We went for a nice little family picnic, and we're going on an actual date this Friday.  So nice to be close enough to have family babysit!

On Sunday, I got asked for the first time if I am feeling done with the pregnancy yet.  My answer was that I am far more unprepared for baby than I am uncomfortable being pregnant.  The amount of things still left to do is frankly overwhelming.  We're still not fully unpacked from the move, because the shed we will be using for storage has needed a lot of weather proofing.  It's finally almost ready.  It will be so nice to get all of our storage tubs out of the house.  Today we picked out curtain fabric, which took forever.  Dh is really tired of the blankets we have tacked up over the windows though.  Now I just have to find time for sewing.  But first dh has to clear a space to  put my sewing machine.  And we have to figure out why he is allergic to the bedroom.  He does fine if he sleeps in the living room, but if he sleeps in the bedroom he wakes up sneezing with a horrible, wheezy cough.  I really hope we can solve that problem soon, poor guy is too tall for the couch!

ahhh! 34 weeks today! Holy Cow! I was talking about it to dh last night and apparently...after this ENTIRE pregnancy has nearly passed by...he didn't know that babies could come from 37 weeks on and be considered term. lol So, now I think he's in a bit of a panic because he's finally realized just how close we are! Nice to have his added excitement though ;-)

I have like three more meals to make for the freezer and then it's time to start stockpiling the pantry a bit. But, I just grab a thing here and there so that'll take a while. We got ds moved out of our bed, and it's going AMAZINGLY....three nights so far...and I do mean ENTIRE nights sleeping in his own space! I think I'm like entirely ready for a baby to come whenever it's time. So awesome to feel so close AND so ready!

I did pull this weird groin muscle or something though...super weird feeling...and not very fun. I can't tell if it's from baby's position or from a muscle or ligament I overextended somehow. I hope it lets up in a bit because we walk everywhere!

Soooo, I finally started nesting.  Delayed reaction compared to most of you  LOL.  I ordered a co-sleeper because the last pregnancy someone lent us one and since we moved we can't borrow it again.  I also ordered the infant insert for our Ergo, a nursing cover-up (so excited to see someone invented one with the wire around the top) so you can see what is going on, a car seat cover and these adorable leggings.  I'm most excited about the leggings-- they are going to look so cute with a onesie and a hat-- and it will make diaper changing easy.

Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend.  We had a great day at the beach!

Hi mamas!  I'm 35 weeks, 1 day today.  Some days I feel like...holy cow this baby is coming soon and others I feel like....when will this pregnancy be OVER?  LOL.  I'd be enjoying myself much more if only it weren't for the pelvic girdle pain.  It is absolutely excruciating, especially when I roll over in bed at night.

My husband took my kids on a 3 night camping trip so I've had the house to myself.  It's been so quiet!  I miss them, of course, but still enjoyed the time alone.  Just me and our 10 year old golden retriever.  She has hip displasia so she can't walk much, which is fine by me since I prefer a shorter walk too.  She and I make quite the pair, waddling down the street together.

Hi hibiscus! Funny about you and the dog. I feel like I move at the pace of my toe walking 3 yr old these days. Normally she drives me nuts walking so slow. Have you tried the chiropractor? I was having horrid pelvic pain and well as this awful groin pain that felt like a pulled muscles, only it came and went so I know that isn't what it was. I finally went to the chiro this week and I feel soooo much better! The pains down there are almost entirely gone. Of course, being over 35 weeks prego i still feel slow and not great in other regards. Lol.

I feel like hibiscus...wafflign between feeling like baby will be here so soon and wondering how I'll make it another month. I am so miserable some evenings but also don't want to wish this away bc it's my last pregnancy and also bc life will be a different kind of hard once baby is here.

I had sooooo many Braxton hicks yesterday and into last night while sleeping. They seem to be gone now finally. I am going to down tons of water today and try to sit a lot. Not that did a ton yesterday! We did finally get the last baby stuff out of the attic yesterday and I am washing it up (car seat, snap and go, bouncy seat). We also moved the changing table into our room from the basement so I am getting our room all arranged and ready. That feels fun!

I'll start a new thread later. :-)

OOh, I want an ergo and insert!  It's on my list, but there are other things ahead of it, like, oh, food...lol.  I think the beach would be just baout perfect right now.

We spent the day doing some home repairs and refinishing the dining table.  I am so tired, lol...

So...I totally lost a week somewhere! lol I feel SOO retarded because I don't know where I lost my week! I totally thought I was 34 weeks LAST week, but it turns out I'm turning 34 this week! Bah! Most annoying mistake ever because I was fully convinced until like yesterday. And like, ALL of my belly pics are mis-recorded then...so I must have forgotten a week somewhere back before 20 weeks! bah!

Anyway...lol...guys I'm feeling like the baby is literally going to fall out of me! It's so so so low. I can feel it's head...and I swear I can only feel half of it because the rest is already way engaged in my pelvis. Blah...not very comfortable at all. I'm seriously getting nervous that I'll be one of those people who just feels like they need to sit on the toilet and then out comes a baby! The one weird thing about it though is that my braxton hicks are like...heavy on the 'pleasurable' side...like, they just feel good in this weird way that's impossible to explain. I think it's because the head gets pushed down onto some very sensitive parts. Very different from with ds when they were actually quite uncomfortable.

Excited to hear about everyone's nesting! It's about time for some babies to start showing up!!

It's September! Our babies will be here in no time! It sounds like we are all finishing up the last things that need to be done before the little ones arrive.

I am still pregnant. Baby is staying put! luxlove.gif I am trying to keep myself from going completely nuts on bedrest by knitting. I think I may start a crafting thread so we have a place to talk about what we are making and post pictures. I need the distraction.

Dannic-- we must have the same nesting instincts, bc DH spend the day refinishing our dining room table too!!!  It only needed the old polyurethane (sp?) taken off and new painted on, but it was complicated b/c it kept raining on and off all day and he needed to do 3 coats.  I think we're going to be successful though-- it seems to look good.  I just hope that it doesn't smell too much or I won't be able to bring it in until the smell goes away.  It's our only table in our little rental house....so we had no where to eat today.  Of course, the kids love eating on the floor, BUT, we had a cookout this evening and it rained, so we had a cook-in and of course had no where to eat.  Luckily our neighbors are very laid back and we all just laughed at our weird evening...

Aurora-- I am so glad that you're still preggers!!  I am wondering about the other mom on bedrest... Hope she's doing well too!

Pregnova-- that is interesting and cool that your BH are not painful!!  Mine are uncomfortable, but I only have 1 or less a day---usually when my bladder is too full.

Vegan-- I need to clean everything too.  I need to vacuum out the car seat and wash down the crib.  Not too motivated though b/c I have so much else to do!!  :)

Hibiscus-- having the house to yourself can be so wonderful!!  I had that experience a month ago.  I loved it during the day, but felt sad and lonely in the evening...  :)

One of the benefits of being 6'0 tall is that I still feel pretty good at 33 weeks.  Maybe I will start feeling worse as time goes on??  My belly is big, but so low that I have no problem breathing.  My 1st 2 pregnancies were so much harder than this one....and I'm 10 years older since my 1st...weird.
