Ultrasound: small sac?

Hi, everyone.

I had an ultrasound yesterday morning at 5w6d. They saw a gestational sac measuring five weeks and a yolk sac but no fetal pole or heartbeat yet. They want me to come back next week.

I'm not worried about not being able to see the baby as it's so early, but I'm worried about the small gestational sac. Does anyone know anything about this?

I definitely ovulated on CD13 and implanted on CD20 at 7DPO.

My beta at 16DPO was 248 and at 22DPO was 2508, a doubling time of 43 hours.

I miscarried last month, so I'm pretty worried.

I'm still testing and temping. My lines are dark and my temps are up.

Is there hope?

I had this 3 times. Two were indeed miscarriages, but one is sleeping right next to me now . The last one I actually didn't go for an ultrasound until I was 9 weeks along, and he was only 8 weeks. I'm glad I didn't have that week of waiting in the middle, because he's just fine but always measured a week behind (which was very weird b/c dh was away after I O'd so I'm sure when I conceived).
