First Grade Homeschooling Resource List Thread

Hi Mamas,

I thought it would be nice to have a thread that lists 1st grade resources we all are using, found out about but not yet using OR know of but will not be using.  This way we can share what we know and help each other out and save new homeschooling mamas from having to do countless hours of research on the Internet.  I will go first:

What I am using:

1. Reading Eggs

2. TeachMe Ipad app for 1st and 2nd grade.

3. BookFlix

4. Various art apps on the Ipad especially the I luv drawing ones but kids do work on paper instead of the i-pad.

5. Reading Eggs lesson worksheets for writing.  I use these and piggyback on them to give my ds.

What I know about but not yet using but probably will:

1. k5learning.com

2. Brain Pop Junior

3. TrueFlix ( a little too old for 1st graders but great resource.)

What I know about but will not be using:

1. Time4learning.com

So far, this is what I can think of.  I will come back and add if I remember or find something else.

Share please smile.gif

Reading Eggs and Dreambox learning are both great online resources I have found, as well as Ambleside Online for curriculum

Have tried Dreambox but forgot to add it to my list.  Checking on Ambleside.  Never heard of it.  Thanks :)

Also just discovered freereading.org  It has 80 word decodable stories, both fiction and non-fiction.  We will be trying those out soon.
