I need a weight loss buddy

I am at the breaking point. I just gained back the 5 pounds I lost 2 months ago and I want to cry, all my pants are tight and I feel like crap. I am a sugar and carb junkie. I have been snaeking my sons easter candy. UgH. I weigh about 170lbs and I'm 5' 6". If it was muscle that wouldn't be a bad ratio, but it's pure flab. My flabby arms (my wings I call them)and belly bother me most.

I am starting tommorow on a high fruit/veggie, whole grain, high protien diet. I lost weight on atkins but it is too restrictive and expensive for me to do again right now. I am really loving oranges and eat at least one every day and I'm not giving that up. I am going to try to cut out all processed food and white sugar. I also really need to satrt exercising.

I need a buddy to check in with and going through the same struggles I am right now. Anyone up for it?

I weigh more than you but I need to lose as well! I am 5'6" too but weigh in at a whooping 235!!! The whole pregnancy thing got me and Gina is 7 months old now so that excuse is getting OLD! I really need a motivator!!! I will try to help you, and would love a good kick in the pants from you too!
Are you starting for sure tomorrow?

I'm 5'6 and 165 lbs. I don't have any clothes that fit me for summer. I feel awful. Dh is 5'9 and 150 lbs and REALLY fit. I'm so tired that never feel like working out. I would love to diet with you guys. Can I be a buddy too?

ME too!

I just need to find the time and energy to exercise. DS is 1 (i've got three total) and he's still not sleeping through the night. So every day I am tired all day long. Its so much easier to stay indoors and not make the time for exercise.

BTW I love your honesty about your weight...but i'm not there yet

Can i join your club??

Ok, here goes, I'm starting this morning. I am going to have an orange around 7am and then hit the grocery store to stock up on healthy stuff.

I also wanted to let you know the supplements I am on that had been helping me. I take a multi-vitamin, super B complex, calcium and magnesium, and chromium picolate, I also take flax seed oil caplets.

These have really helped me maintain the weight I lost until The week before Easter, then I just lost it and pigged out big time.

I am throwing away all my sons eater candy that I like, which means all the chocolate. I'm not tempted by jellybeans and PEZ.

Kids are up gotta go.

wanted to add, I have 3 kids, right now I have 2 living with me, the 3 year old and 14 month old, so my exercise is basically chasing them around. We also do not sleep through the night so tiredness has been my excuse, but I think I would have more energy if I did exercise.

I am also going to start a new thread called weight loss buddies goals. I am going to list my goals there and encourage you all to do the same, then we we achieve a goal we can pull up the thread and mark the gaol achieved.

yeah i would like to join i too gained back the 5 lbs that i lost beginning 1/04 it is discouraging i had a goal of 160 by 5/31 i would still like to reach that goal today i am 182 i was down to 176 my problem is carbs i know i sholuld just stop but i work full time (teach0 and have an 8 and 4 year old i was weighing in on the wekyl weigh ins but felt embarassed it is wierd...ok enough rambling i will not squander my april vacation on the computer so count me in rudemama

I am going to post my goals on the other thread too! I have only 1 little girl, I don't know where those of you with more find the time Also I ate oatmeal for breakfast this morning and when Gina gets will be going to the grocery store too.
We can do it!!!
