I have the Mirena iud, had after dd1, no problems, worked wonderful. So I had it put in 13mo pp after ds. I've had a slew of minor irritations with it, nothing major.
But, 3 wks ago after dtd, I bad cramps, to the point that I couldn't get up for a few minutes and then felt like I had to stay all hunched over. I took some ibprofen, heating pad and laid down, 30 minutes later I was fine. But I bled for the next few days...(i've had no period the 6 mo I've had mirena). I was a little worried that the iud might have moved or something, but my strings are still there.
So fast forward, I've been having achy crampy bloated symptoms and very crampy after sex so I saw my midwife yesterday. Turns out I have 2 cyts on my right ovary. Simple cysts they want to ck on in 2 months. BUT, then they said that my IUD is sideways??? I didn't think anything of of it then, I was focused on the cysts.
Anyone ever heard of an IUD going sideways, they said it was fine that it still works....but, will it cause problems removing it? Can they move around in there so that it could have gotten knocked sideways during sex, but could maybe work it's way back to normal????
