"Toddler diarrhea"

My almost 2 year old has had a change in bowel movements.  Over the last 6 weeks, she has had loose stools (runny, watery, ect).  Went to the dr twice, got xrays, have taken out what little dairy she eats and i really don't think diet is it.  The dr said it was "Toddler Diarrhea"  and could last over 4 months....seems  a little ridiculous that my LO should be have this problem for 4 months!!! any thoughts...i've done probiotics also.

Well, the only thing I know to suggest is keep diet records (juice or heavy fruit consumption is often the culprit in toddler diarrhea isn't it??) and consider a Metametrix comprehensive stool. It will cost (our insurance did reimburse out of network) but if there is something causing it you'll find it with that test.
