Favorite TV families

Hi Everyone,

I'm curious...what were your favorite TV families as a child and what are your favorites as an adult?

As a child, I love the Huxtables (The Cosby Show) and the Keatons (Family Ties) and remember telling my parents that I wished they were more like them! I also have always liked chosen families and enjoyed The Facts of Life and The Golden Girls for those reasons.

My all-time favorite show is My So-Called Life and I still love Angela and her family because they are so real.

I'm struggling a bit to think of families that I've especially liked as an adult.

What about you? Which TV families did or do you like?

I loved Little House and the families there; the Eight is Enough family (Bradfords?); and the Huxtables (Cosby Show).

Growing Pains...I remember asking my parents if we could have another baby in our family when Chrissy was born on Growing Pains.

I can't remember having a favorite but I do remember thinking that the families on TV were nothing like the ones I knew!

I really loved The Wonder Years, not exactly the greatest family on TV but their lives seemed real to me.

I love watching the Wonder Years. There was so much on the show that felt real to me.

Growing Pains, Little House on the Prairie, Familie Ties.  I also remember wanting Kim and Shane from Days of our Lives to be my parents (mine were going through a divorce).  Now I love Modern Family (I'm Cam and my partner is Mitch- although I'm a bit of Claire too) and Castle (love NF with his mom and daughter)

I think it's called "Party of Five", about a family with no parents and the oldest brother was the one responsible. Mathew Fox I believe played his role.

Not too many television shows seemed real to me.

I also liked the Huxtables and the Keatons, but I really liked the Connors on Roseanne.  They were the first family I saw on TV that seemed kind of like mine.  Loud and not rich.  I will watch anything anyone who was on that show is doing now. That's how I got hooked on Big Bang Theory.

Hello, I always enjoy any TV family were a lot of births/pregnancies especially natural childbirth were happening. I also enjoyed TV shows that touched on controversial issues such as war, birth-control, anything like that.
