AmandaLynnH, I know I have at least one wonky cycle when I go off BC, it isn't uncommon to take a month or two or three to get back on track. Hopefully things settle down for you! And as far as cervical checks, yeah you have to do them for a cycle at least before you can really understand what is high/med/low, etc. Once you figure it out it's easier!

anyalily, thanks I will enjoy my beer(s)! Haven't done EPO, hopefully others have some good advice for you.

TwilightJoy, sending sticky baby vibes your way goodvibes.gif And I totally feel you on wanting to go register and tell everyone right away. For our first, I didn't test until the day after AF was due, but once I got that positive, DH was on amazon ordering baby furniture and we were picking out names (which we later changed) and we ended up telling our immediate families right away too. I ended up telling my boss pretty soon after as I was SO TIRED my first trimester that I wanted him to know why I might be napping at my desk. I think its best to not tell the whole world until a little later, but I think it can be good to share sooner with trusted close friends/family, the kind of people that if a miscarriage did happen would be there with support.

LittleKind, crossing my fingers for you!

Trying to be patient. No phantom symptoms for me so far, except for the jabbing pain I had on Saturday night at 4 DPO. I'm not really discouraged, though, because I don't remember having symptoms with DD before I found out. My chart does look on its way to being triphasic, though at 7 DPO it's really too early to tell I think. Again, trying to be patient. Plan to test Friday; if it's BFN then I will test all weekend too (AF is due Monday), but hopefully will be distracting by out of town plans.

I took a FRER fertility test this morning, since I got one free in a box a while back and it was day 3 of my cycle. It looked like a nice "fertile" reading, with a very very light line. Has anyone else taken these? I guess they test for FSH. So what does it mean - that I have good eggs? Is it bad to get a faint line rather than none at all? Background: I am 30 and have been menstruating since 11, and I have about 14 cycles a year. Does that mean I will go through an earlier menopause, because I have more cycles a year and started so early? I am not worried about infertility per se, but I am just in learning mode.

A positive note - I think I had a 12-13 day LP this cycle, just based on cervical position. I am starting to temp this cycle but I am waiting for a new thermometer because my old one is broken.

At what point do you get your partner's swimmers checked? He has always had a seemingly low volume of *ahem, does that mean his count would necessarily be lower?

I see a line, Twilight!  Congrats!!

Hello, new to this group, have 5 yo ds and haven't been on mdc in years. Been unofficially ttc off and on for awhile. Saw the re today gave him a definite on ttc. Unfortunately I'm on cd 77 and so will be getting a bit of pharmaceutical assistance. eyesroll.gif I'm excited and nervous to tackle this so add me to waiting to O!

ETA: anaylilly. Good luck with the sugar fast. I did the same when they were thinking I had pcos. It was tough but wow did I start feeling better after 2-3 weeks. Keep it up!

Hi Jaxxy, welcome! I am working on adding you to the list, but I will need MayDayMama's assistance as I did not start the thread this week. Day 77, wowza! Did they decide it is not PCOS? Sending good vibes for a nice, well-timed O!

The sugar fast is going alright. I am not eating gluten or much dairy either and the first few days of this are always hard, but I am taking care to nourish myself with good food. DH is doing it too, and he has already dropped 2 lbs. I am on AF, so I will not see any improvement for a few days.

Coming from someone who just recently had one, whatever happens, you want to look back at this time as blissfully happy. Regret and fear and worry can really taint our memories and I believe that whatever we experience, we should experience fully, without fear. Also everything will be FINE and you will be holding a healthy baby in May, I am sure. Yay!

Thank you for your kind words. hug.gif That was just what I needed this morning. I'm working on visualizing my beautiful pregnant belly and then the baby I'm going to be snuggled up with in May.

Thank you for the sticky baby vibes! And I'm so glad I'm not the only one who wants to start registering. Lol. However, I also like that this is just a secret between DH and I now, something that (IRL) just the two of us know. partners.gif

Congrats on getting that FRER BFP, TwilightJoy! Looks like you got yours on 13DPO like I did. I guess I won't be expecting much when I take a 10DPO test on Friday, then. :)  I'm glad you are feeling more positive about enjoying your pregnancy. I loved being pregnant with my DD. I'm really looking forward to having another child, but I also am really looking forward to the pregnancy itself. It's just so wonderful, I can't even really explain. Especially once you start to feel movement, it's amazing.

ETA: I think I might get some of those Clearblue Digitals like you used, TwilightJoy. I could use an earlier answer!

AFM, I got a sizeable temp dip today on 8DPO, which I am positively thinking about as an implantation dip. I got a dip like that on 8DPO when I was pregnant with DD, so I'm hopeful that I will follow the same pattern. So far so good  -- just don't want to wait as long for my BFP this time!!

Wahoo!!!!!! thumb.gif I am so glad to hear the FRER caught up to join the party. I kept my BFP sticks throughout my pregnancy, and I loved to look at them. I am a big dork! I can't wait to have another collection. Happy healthy 9 months mama!

TwilightJoy - Congrats on the BFPs!!

AFM: Please move me to Waiting to Know (2WW). FF thinks I O'ed on Friday but I think it's nuts. I never O that early and my weekend temps were taken late and were too low for my usual post O temps. I think I O'ed yesterday or Monday. Either way, on to the 2WW. I'm not temping for this one (after tomorrow) as I have to fly to the west coast and take care of my mom after surgery for a bit. No thermometer this trip! Hopefully that will make me a bit more zen about this 2WW.

Thank you! I'm definitely keeping the FRER. However the digitals don't stay working. The battery must only last a day or so... the first one I took is blank again. greensad.gif So I'm throwing it away.

I told myself I wouldn't obsessively test this month but old habits die hard! Last time, I had bfp first on a dollar tree test, frer a few days later, and digital was even a few days after that! I really don't understand the variations in test sensitivity.

Anyway, I bought a bunch of dip strips for a dollar eac at a nearby baby store. They're in a pink foil pouch with no brand! Anyone know what these are? Anyway, getting negative still but today the dye sort of gathered on the edges of the stick where the line crosses, but no line formed. I don't know if that's a good sign or I'm getting line eyes! Also I was not quite sure of my o date so I could be jumping the gun. Tomorrow, by my most conservative estimate, is 12 dpo and that's when I had bfp last time. I am to the crazed final stretch where every morning I will see if my temp is still up and then test!

I do wonder how reliable these strips are. Does anyone know anything about dip strips in a pink foil pouch? The strip is thin and has hcg hcg hcg in blue all over the end of it.

Those sound like Wondfo's to me. I got mine on Amazon and they come in a bag with a brief instruction sheet. They're supposedly very sensitive.

The midwife said yes, the re said no. I sort of agree wight the midwife though it's not the typical presentation of pcos. Ive always been thin and have gained about 12 pounds in the last 5 years. Ive been a chocolate junkfood junkie my whole life! I'm back down to 140 ( thank you sugar free diet!) but no change in my cycles, normal testosterone and my ovaries aren't really polycystic. So he doesnt know what it is. ?

I've also done some raw foods like flax crackers in the dehydrator and raw. Soups which are good and good for you, also keeps you interested in eating healthy.

My Wondfos came in a pink foil pouch and had hcg hcg in PINK, not blue. They also had 2 lines, not a plus sign/cross. So I'm not sure what brand those would be.

Here's a pic of the front and back of the Wonfo pink foil pouch, and a dip stick. Click to see it bigger.

Stevi, I hope your HSG goes well!

maydaymom10, thanks again for keeping the threads going.

anyalily, thanks for taking over, I hope the good luck of the thread keeper works for you too smile.gif Glad the sugar fast is going pretty well. Every so often I will do the same just to get my body off of the sugar/refined carbs roller coaster. Sometimes cutting it all off for a week or two is the only way to get myself back on track.

jaxxy, welcome and good luck, I hope your RE is able to help you TTC quickly!

Well, I'm feeling guardedly hopeful about this cycle, still waiting to O, but should be soon if not already.

Hi!

I'm not waiting to O, still waiting to know... 2 days late and still BFN. I'll retest this weekend.
