Ffffrreeeezing!! Anyone else super cold?

We do keep it cool in our house, but I'm used to it- 75-77 in the summer daytime. I am freezing my patootie off!!! I'm wearing fleece pants and just crawled under the covers to nap. Brrr!! Anyone else extra chilly? Dh thinks I'm absolutely nuts - he was literally sweating when we sat down to lunch and me? I had goosebumps!

No, I'm hot and not in a good way.  I used to be cold during my pregnancies, not anymore.  Given my age,  maybe I'm simultaneously going through menopause whilst being pregnant.

Same here!  And, like Ethelpea, I was always hot before this.  Now I'm wearing socks (which I hate), and a robe over all my fleece.  Ridiculous.

We keep our house very cool, no heat on until it freezes at night (so it's about 61 in the house at times, never past 65), but I'm used to it.  It's crazy how all of a sudden I don't seem to be able to warm my fingers and toes.

I've started hand-washing all the dishes after every meal (instead of having a kid or my husband do it) because it's a good way to keep my  hands warm!

love, penelope

I think for me it is because I generally run "cool" - my usual body temp is like 96-97 and I just took my temp out of curiosity and I'm at 98.9 in one ear 99.5 the other (obv an ear thermometer lol)

Btw? Spruce? This is random, but was your 6yo born in March? I seem to remember your screen name but not sure why smile.gif

I wish I was cold. I think summer might never end here in New Mexico.

I'm freezing too but for me I think it's an idicator that my tsh is going up. If this is unusual for you, you might want to consider asking your midwife/ob about getting your tsh checked.  My thyroid problems started out only  being a pregnancy thing.

Kellykins, no, she's a November baby. :)  If it helps, my former user name was Mamapenelope.

We're in the middle of a true Interior Alaska Autumn rain storm, and I keep baking to warm myself up (it's ridiculous to start the woodstove yet...but I'm tempted).  The kids are going to be too big for their snowsuits if I don't get out of the kitchen!

I was freezing during my first tri with my son (then normal, then warm by the end).  With my daughter, I ran normal until the second tri when I started running warm.  This time I'm running normal again, though interestingly this pregnancy aligns in timing more with my son's pregnancy (he was born in May).

Camprunner, I dont even know what tsh is... ???

Spruce, I guess it was another tree name I had in mind LOL!!!   Very neat that you live in AK, my midwife moved there (apparently...) last year to teach.

Ditto Arizona.  And this is only 1st tri!  My first was born at the end of August and that last trimester was horrible.

At least, for those of us that are running hot, the last trimester will be in a cooler time of year :)

I am sooooo HOT!  I never sweat but now I do at 80*.  My SO can't sleep touching me because I am, in his words, "a furnace." Never, in all my 5 other pgs, have I been so hot.

Glad to see I am not the only freezing one here. DH keeps looking at me like I have 2 heads every time I add another layer of clothing or ask for another blanket.

This is funny. DH wanted to kick me out of the bed two nights ago, when I covered myself with a sheet, two fleece blankets, and my fluffy comforter... we're at the beach right now! It's 75 degrees in the house. :)

I have been colder too...my husband looks at me like I'm crazy when the air conditioner in the car gets turned off. LOL...if I snuggle up to him he's like "get off you are makign me hot" but I'm still soaking up his warmth and dont want to lol. It's odd to me to be cold and pregnant lol....never had it happen before...but it's not TERRIBLE so I guess I'll just roll with it for now ;) LOL

Awe man, I'm BURNING up lol! Sleeping naked, wearing shoes that don't require socks, capri pants, short sleeve shirts etc. I'm dying!

Same here. Before this pregnancy, I was so overheated all the time that we really thought I was going through premenopausal. Now I'm just chilly all the time.
