suggested morning or evening affirmations?

i'm wondering if anyone would like to tell what affirmations they use in the morning. i've started playing hypnosis recordings while sleeping and was thinking about adding some affirmations for when i first get up. just wondered what others found helpful. i have a tendency to write really long affirmations that then feel like a job in themselves just to read.

Two of my favorites are:

"Today is a beautiful day. There will never be another day exactly like it."

"I welcome both the familiar and new joyful experiences that I will have today."

Are you looking for prayers?  I'm Episcopalian and I really enjoy reading Compline before I go to bed.  I find that the language helps me to find a peaceful place at the end of a busy day.  You can find it in the online Book of Common Prayer under The Daily Office:  http://www.bcponline.org/

For shorter morning affirmations, there is also a section called "Prayers and Thanksgivings" that has brief collects for a variety of occasions.

thanks, those are good starts.

rather than prayers (i'm pagan), i'm looking for something that i can work on daily to help make me a better person. something that dd could do along with me is a big plus; i'm hoping that starting her early on things like affirmations, quiet time (later to hopefully become meditation) may give her a head-start on own personal development.

"I am creative."

"I am kind to myself."

"I can do it."
"I believe in myself."

"My positive thoughts help me create positive actions."
