• EDD: Officially is June 1st. My babies seem to come before my due date so I'll be straddling this and the June ddcs.  Could you put me at the end of the list under late May? Thanks!

Hi, my name is Kelsy, I am 35 and am due with baby #2 on May 5, 2013. My daughter was born February 2010 in the comfort of our home and I'm looking forward to the experience again. Well, maybe not the actual labor part, but the feeling of being in my own bed with my newborn is unmatchable. I can imagine it will only be even better the second time. My husband, daughter, dog, cat, fish and I live in Santa Barbara, California. I have a feeling this baby is a boy, but will be just as happy with a little sister for my daughter. This is most likely my last child so I am trying to relish every moment. So far it hasn't really hit yet as I'm not showing and haven't felt too bad. I have a 12 week ultrasound scheduled next week and I think that is when the excitement will really kick in. Yay!! Nice to meet you all and I look forward to taking this journey together.. xo, Kelsy

I've been on this board for a while but didn't see this! I'm Jessica, I'm nearly 22 :) and due with baby #2 June 2nd. My DD was born August '08, with a midwife, in a hospital, naturally, on her due date. I am wanting to avoid the hospital experience- and intervention in general- with this baby. Planning on birthing at a freestanding BC less than an hour away with midwives that also HB. This pregnancy had a rough start, with a m/c scare that turned out to be only a dating mix-up and two early ultrasounds along with twice-weekly bloodwork for a couple weeks- so I'm enjoying stepping away from that. My appts will be far apart and non-medicalized from now on, w/ the exception of the 18wk u/s.

OtherMother, I think there is now a June DDC as well.  Please stick around with us though!  We'd love to have you!

 Hi! I am Erica and I'm 33 yrs old ouch that is still hard to say/type! Of course most people know me as 25! lol I am from St. Charles, IL and live there with my husband David and my 2 yr old daughter Elicia.

I found out I was prego in Sept and my EDD is May 24th. We found out 2 days ago we are pregnant with IDENTICAL TWINS!! We are so happy. We don't know yet if we are having boys or girls I will be happy either way, David said please Jesus give me boys i can't afford to pay for 3 weddings!! ha ha

We were told we will have a c-birth because I am high risk, I was before we found out about the twins. I had preeclampsia with my daughter and I am a diabetic. Elicia was delivered at 37 wks, I would of loved a natural home birth but I will deal! As long as me and my babies are healthy.

I am so happy to be a part of this group, I have so many fears and really need mama support and would love to give my support too.

Hi ladies! My name is Anna, I'm 33, and I live in Michigan with my husband, son, dog, cat, and chickens. I have a stepdaughter who's 13 too, but she doesn't live with us.
My due date is May 23. This is my second - my little J was born in March 2011. We weren't trying either time and this time I'm actually not so thrilled to be pregnant - I found out I was at a gyn appt when I was intending to go on birth control after weaning J (I nursed him til 20 months). But I'm trying to be positive - another little cutie will be so fun! And I feel like this time it might be a girl - b/c I'm having morning sickness and didn't at all with J.
With J, I had a home birth with a midwife but this time we have to go to the hospital - I'm super nervous about that and hoping to have a natural birth anyway. I absolutely loved being pregnant and giving birth the first time!!
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! xo

I live in beautiful scotland (but from Chester NW England) with my loving fiance.

I am very EXCITED and also very scared with lots to sort out - including a wedding in January.

This will be my first baby and I am very excited to learn and get tips and advice from all you lovely mums to be :) x

Hello.  I guess I'm just as nervous about announcing a pregnancy in cyberspace as I am in real life, but since a few people now know, I guess I'll join in here.

EDD: May 5th 2013

This is child #3 for us.

We have two girls, ages 4 and two-weeks-from-two.

We live in Portland, Oregon.

We won't find out the gender until I give birth.  I have no preference right now.  Another girl would keep everything simpler, I think, but it might be fun to see what little boys are like.

At the moment I like just North of Pitlochry, but i am from Chester- I will be moving back closer to family and friends in February. Where are you from?

im from bristol, live in bath now :) have been to chester many times.. and i have no idea where pitlochry is hehe.. but ive been to scotland a few times (im 1/4 scottish) and its beautiful :) how do u feel about moving back?

I finally had my first doc. apt. and I am so excited.  We saw the little heart beat and was even able to hear it :) 163 bpm which the doc. said was really good.  We also got the due date of May 30th.   Its late in May and I'm hoping since its my first that I will stay close to my EDD since my little sitter is getting married May 4th.  Although I will be the size of a house, I would rather still be preggers during her wedding than a new born.  Fingers crossed

That's exciting MaraM.  You never know but the average delivery date for a first time mom is 8 days past the due date...fingers crossed.

Pitlochry is 20 miles north of Perth- up in the highlands. :) I am SO happy to be moving back!!! All my best friends and family are there. But I know it will be stressful. Plan is to work here till beginning of Feb ( so that i can get Maternity pay) then move and get married in Chester. It has to happen this way. they say marriage and moving are up on the to of list for stress but I am 'Quite' a relaxed person so hopefully be ok. Bath is beautiful!!!! I haven't been to Bristol but I know its the young city and supposed to be lots of fun :)

Is this your first baby??? I am a complete novice- so all fun and games. I just had my antenatal letter. 12 week dating scan is on the 8th November! have you heard about yours?

aww yes i have had multiple miscarriages, but this is the first one that (so far) has stuck!! its a bit of a complicated situation because me and the babys dad have split up since he found out, but with 10 years of miscarriages behind me, i just couldnt decide to abort. He thinks im throwing my life away, i think i will never forgive myself if i dont at least go with this and try.. Oh my gosh, that sounds sooo exciting  :D altho indeed very stressful, how long have you been with your partner? perhaps if it all gets too much you can leave the wedding til your little one can walk and they can join in too?

Bath is absolutely beautiful, and yeh bristol is weird.. when i was growing up bristol was one of those places a bit like birmingham where people went but wasnt overly cool other then the triphop scene, but now its bustling, very urban and filled with counter culture and amazing graffitti. I moved to the outskirts of bristol (between bristol and bath) to have the best of both worlds about 4 1/2 years ago, and moved to bath this year, much quieter in bath, but beautiful and a really positive vibe about it, lots of people who succeed at what they do, probably because the asaetics are so lovely it breeds a better attitude to life? who knows, coming from council estates of bristol i definately feel very different over here :)

My dating scan is today.. i am nervous beyond belief, can't quite calm myself enough to get through the day lol.. i need to get up and start getting ready but im filled with cold, and havent slept properly all week for nerves (i think anyone gets nervous but my consultant was nervous about some of the meds i was on, and because ive had so many miscarriages i keep sortve not believing its real!!)  but fingers crossed later i shall feel better about it (its at 5.50pm) ive seen my midwife already, and i have the ob (im high risk) 5th november.

How old are you? im 26, gonna be 27 by the time the babys born.. strange, a lot of people think im much younger ha.. so i can imagine getting weird looks when babys born because i have eds (and use a wheelchair) and im not with the dad (altho its a definate concensus of those around me that im better off without) and i look about 19.. damn society!! i mite have to constantly go round with a 27 badge stuck to me to make people give me the benefit of the doubt in one corner at least!! ;)

HI ladies! sorry to hijack this thread but I wanted to send a shout out to yourmom415 - are you type 1 or type 2? I am T1 on an insulin pump, have had diabetes since I was 10. we have one son who is three years old and I had two miscarriages last  year. Are you on Facebook? if so, definitely check out the DMs supporting DMs group, it's a great group of women who have been there done that (DM is for Diabetic Mommy). Check it out! and if you want to talk any other diabetes/pregnancy stuff, feel free to message me. congratulations on the twins!
