  • Anything else you'd like to share: I was 2 weeks early with my first child, so I am thinking May will definetly be the magic month, but I am also a member of the June DDC. We will see what happens! May 31 is a tough spot! Haha.

Welcome Stacey!  I am in AB as well (Calgary), and doing a HB with midwifes this time.  I love that AB is so midwife friendly that we have great options for when and where to have our babes!  Oh, I got married at 19 too (but that was over 12 years ago now!)

He thinks im throwing my life away, i think i will never forgive myself if i dont at least go with this and try.. Oh my gosh, that sounds sooo exciting  :D altho indeed very stressful, how long have you been with your partner? perhaps if it all gets too much you can leave the wedding til your little one can walk and they can join in too?

Bath is absolutely beautiful, and yeh bristol is weird.. when i was growing up bristol was one of those places a bit like birmingham where people went but wasnt overly cool other then the triphop scene, but now its bustling, very urban and filled with counter culture and amazing graffitti. I moved to the outskirts of bristol (between bristol and bath) to have the best of both worlds about 4 1/2 years ago, and moved to bath this year, much quieter in bath, but beautiful and a really positive vibe about it, lots of people who succeed at what they do, probably because the asaetics are so lovely it breeds a better attitude to life? who knows, coming from council estates of bristol i definately feel very different over here :)

My dating scan is today.. i am nervous beyond belief, can't quite calm myself enough to get through the day lol.. i need to get up and start getting ready but im filled with cold, and havent slept properly all week for nerves (i think anyone gets nervous but my consultant was nervous about some of the meds i was on, and because ive had so many miscarriages i keep sortve not believing its real!!)  but fingers crossed later i shall feel better about it (its at 5.50pm) ive seen my midwife already, and i have the ob (im high risk) 5th november.

How old are you? im 26, gonna be 27 by the time the babys born.. strange, a lot of people think im much younger ha.. so i can imagine getting weird looks when babys born because i have eds (and use a wheelchair) and im not with the dad (altho its a definate concensus of those around me that im better off without) and i look about 19.. damn society!! i mite have to constantly go round with a 27 badge stuck to me to make people give me the benefit of the doubt in one corner at least!! ;)

Hi i havent been online for a while, sorry.

Whats eds? i haven't heard of that before- sorry for my ignorance! Bath does sound amazing.

How did your dating scan go???? I have mine on Thursday! I hope it all went well!!

Im 27 and i will be 28 when baby arrives- fingers and toes and eyes crossed.

I havent had any miscarriages or been pregnant before- but i was told at a young age i might not be able to have children sooo i'm counting myself as lucky :)

also whats the ob? ooo that was yesterday! how did that go!

thinking of you

Sarah

Hello!  My name is Emily and I'm due May 5, according to the calculators I've found online.  I'm a 31-year-old admin assistant by day/burlesque performer by night and live in Somerville, MA with my husband.  This will be our first kiddo (as well as the first grandkid on both sides), and we conceived way quicker than I'd expected - I went off the pill in early June, after being on it for nearly 15 years.  At this point, we still don't know the gender (we find out in two weeks!) and I'm not sure if I really have a preference.  I've always said I wanted a girl, and this week I've been calling her a "she," but last week I was totally getting "he" vibes, so who knows.  My husband seems pretty convinced it's a boy, so it'll be good to find out so one of us can be right already!  I'm planning an unmedicated birth at a birth center nearby - I initially wanted a homebirth but we're concerned about the cost since our insurance most likely won't cover it.  I have a little fledgling blog: emilytheadult.wordpress.com, but it hasn't gone into preggo blog mode yet, so it may be kind of dull until I spill the beans (fetus?).

So there we go!  I'm excited to be here.

EDD late May / early June aka expected time for strawberries to ripen round here.

Age:32

State or Country:Indiana

How long it took to you to get your BFP: ¡Surprise!

What number child is this for you: 2nd for me/ first for boyfriend

Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): Boyfriend has been great for surprise pregnancy. He lives in another town so we have some stuff to figure out. I have a 5 year old boy, we're homeskoolin', he's so happy to get to be a big brother. Horse, pony, chickens, bunnies, dog and cat.

Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses):don't know, don't really care, my boy has a great balance of gender qualities, I'd have a lot of growing to do if I had a girly-girl.
I'd definately enjoy another boy, it would also be cool to have one of each.

Birth Plans/Preferences: home water birth- midwife said she'd assist in either town. I had a fast natural hospital birth on my back, ouch, with son. I think he picked up some germies from 7 day well baby appointment. That led to big ordeal, no fun. Really like home well baby visits for newborn.

Anything else you'd like to share: so excited to be here! I'm also in June group can't wait to double dip. Congrats for all those sticky babies, so sorry for all of the loses.

I'm Trisha, I am due on May 16th and live in WI. We got a positive test right away after I had a couple normalish cycles followed by one with definite fertility signs so we decided to give it a go! Two weeks later, I couldn't believe I actually had a BFP after 2.5 years since my last pregnancy (and no prevention). This is my 4th pregnancy, we have a DD (4 before the birth) and two miscarriages in between. We will not be finding out gender and are planning a Family Birth at home (DH, DD, me). The other thing I'd like to share is that we're suspecting multiples- at 17 wks now, I'm measuring around 25cm! We won't find out until at least the end of Dec, when we will be starting to hear heartbeats with the fetoscope.

Happy pregnancy everyone!
