Early signs?

Has anyone had any pregnancy signs in their 2ww or since testing?

My biggest has been twinges in my uterus. I had little pangs on one side and then later the other, since about 5 DPO. This past weekend (10DPO) they started getting more crampy and uncomfortable, almost painful. They don't bother me because it's like my uterus is recognizing that it is pregnant for the first time and saying hello to the baby. heartbeat.gif

I've had a few dizzy spells. Once when sitting at my desk at work I almost put my head down I was so dizzy. Another time I was reaching up to write something on a poster and I even stumbled a bit I felt so dizzy. dizzy.gif

Breasts are slightly sore, nothing more than how they usually get sore with PMS.

I'm torn between wanting to start showing, but then also knowing I am planning on keeping baby a secret from my co-workers for quite a while. belly.gif

All of the three times I have been pregnant I have had a strange metallic taste in my mouth since a few days after conception.  Long before I can test.  This time it was there everyday for about a week and a half before I got a positive result.  I could swear by it every time.  I have had a tiny bit of nausea  dizziness and food aversions but nothing too strong yet.  With the baby we lost in June (at 10 weeks) I had no nausea so it is a strange thing to hope for but I think I would feel better to be feeling sick.

I have had a little bit of nausea off and on, but honestly I have had that when not pregnant! But, I definitely had a feeling of "fullness" during my 2WW -- hard to explain, but just a feeling of being pregnant that I recognize from having felt it before. I did suspect I was going to get a BFP (but, to be fair, I did think that once before and was wrong!). I also had a small dizzy spell this morning, at 15-16 dpo. I was bending down, moving a cord for my computer, and felt strangely dizzy. I have also felt the twinges in the uterus area. I never get the metallic taste, though!

Soooo super sleepy, super sore breasts and some mild food aversions. Nothing else that's happening screams pregnancy yet. I'm still in total disbelief.

Definitely feeling some twinges in my uterus and round ligaments.  My breasts are a bit sore, but nothing like what I remember from my first pregnancy.  Although I definitely notice that when DS1 nurses (yep, still doing it and he'll be 3 on Monday!) my nipples are more sensitive than normal and I don't love it so much.  They were actually more painful and tender in a few of my last cycles where I didn't end up with a BFO.  Breastfeeding confuses all those hormones just like pregnancy I suppose.

I had a week where I wanted to snack and eat chocolate ALL THE TIME.  Like PMS normally is for a day or so, but just kept on going.  I was a bit more tired than normal for a few days, but seem to be feeling better right now.  Also had a small dizzy spell a few days ago (before positive test) and my Mom had to ask me if I was okay since I was just standing there trying to wait for it to pass :-) .  Starting to have to pee a bit more often, but have also been focusing on drinking more water, so that's likely part of it.  All my clothes were already starting to get a bit tight lately anyway, so I'm kind of looking forward to my belly growing and having an excuse to buy new maternity clothes!

The night I was 8DPO, I had an incredibly vivid pregnancy dream.  I could feel the baby moving in my belly, it was really cool.  So, the next morning when I woke up (so 9 DPO) I took a pregnancy test and was devastated by my BFN. greensad.gif  So, I guess that was my first "Symptom"!

Otherwise, my breasts are really full, and my nipples are tender when nursing DS.  I am tired, and have mild morning sickness.  Also, I am really thirsty.  No twinges or round ligament pain yet though.

I am curious as to when I'll start to show this time.  It wasn't until around 20 weeks last time!  I kind of hope it's earlier this time, as I'm in the same boat as DrMomma, and my clothes are a bit tight!

TwilightJoy, you might luck out.  I didn't tell co-workers until 23 weeks, and only a few I was close to suspected it based on some changed habits (coffee consumption, skipping out on after work drinks...)

Okay, totally TMI, but the other symptom I'm having is with my poop!  I was leaning towards the constipation side for a few days, then total diarrhea today.  Guess my body's just trying to figure everything out with all the hormonal changes!

Cramps! Oh the cramps are distracting and uncomfortable today! My uterus definitely knows that there's a baby in there! heartbeat.gif

That is truly amazing! I think I was showing at like 6 weeks last time! LOL! Okay, I was probably showing my weight gain more than anything else, but there is no way I could hide it that long! An Asian friend of mine was saying that Asians tend to have a uterus that is tilted in, so the baby is more in than out. This is totally true for all the pregnant Asian ladies I've known! I guess it's all about our bodies' specific anatomical details.

Well, for me I think it's just because  I'm tall (5'9"), so baby had room to stretch out!  Interesting how we are all so different.  I bumped into a co-worker of mine who is expecting recently and at 12 weeks it was SO obvious that she was expecting, and she's the same height as me!  This is her 2nd pregnancy though...I guess I'll have to wait and see....we're a ways off from a bump photo thread I am sure anyway.

Anyone else have increased appetite already? I keep telling myself that a lot of women don't even know that they're pregnant by now (15 DPO) and that my hunger is probably mental. But I'm so hungry! Like the previous posters said, my jeans are already a bit tight, I can't gain a ton of weight early! I don't want my co-workers to know until end of October!

Fingers crossed that I do luck out! I think I've been okay hiding from them that I've stopped my coffee (by getting decaf at starbucks and then not refilling it at work), but with no HH they might get suspicious. They go out about every Friday. I think my best bet is to not go, rather than go and drink water. wink1.gif When they were heading out today I said I had to come home because someone wanted to see our house (it's on the market).

TJ - no appetite increase, but DEFINITELY feeling pregnant. I don't think it's crazy to feel things when you're someone who is in tune with your body!

My husband's burrito is making me gag as I sit here typing - and I'm pretty sure I'm not imagining that. ;)

I took four tests and I didn't believe what I was seeing! They were all faint except the last one I took last night which was more visible. I am only four weeks and I think I need someone to pinch me. I still don't believe I am!

Hey ladies!  I was having major tailbone pain ~ like excruciating ~ last week, and I'm wondering if that was pregnancy related.  This is my first pregnancy.    I injured my tailbone when I was like 13, but in the two months or so before we conceived that pain was coming and going subtly when I would sit on hard chairs too long, etc.  Then it started getting really bad in the few days before I took a test, and continued to get worse throughout the next week or so.  Thankfully it has receded a ton ~ like 85% better in the past several days.  But I was reading that relaxin peaks at about 4 weeks, then again just before labor.  So I'm wondering...if the joint at the sacrum/tailbone was unstable to begin with maybe the relaxin just made it that much worse, giving way to a ton of inflammation? Anyone had anything like this with pre-existing back pain or anything?  It's possible that it was unrelated to the pregnancy.  And on a more psycho-emotional scale, it does not escape me that this is clearly a hot spot area for any stored pains or past experiences/trauma to come up approaching and entering pregnancy and motherhood for the first time.  Just curious if anyone else has experienced anything like this.

Other than that I'd say my early symptoms are in line with much of what I read from you all.  They come and go, and I have to admit, I get nervous when they go!  Not that I want to be miserable, but I still am having a hard time believing this and the cramps, breast tenderness, slight nausea, etc make me know things are happening!

Congrats to you all!

My only real symptom and the one that made me retest this morning was getting a small hive on my right index finger. I only get them when I'm pregnant, and will get them on and off all through the pregnancy. I've never had any hives anywhere on my body without being pregnant, but it seems to only effect my fingers.

At 8/23 I thought I was jet lagged because I came back from vacation on 8/22!

Are you hoping for a girl or boy? Or, either?

I do not have a back injury but I do have a previous surgery pain from a year and a half ago. I have noticed the healed injury (i have a screw in my wrist) has been a little bit sore than normally it is.  Could it be the bloating that is causing the increased pressure on your tailbone, do you think??
