movement already??!

Thread Starter

I'm due April 1st, so am right on the cusp of March/April. But I'm still only approaching 10 weeks, and I swear, I keep thinking I'm feeling movement already. Tiny, almost unnoticeable tapping (I did feel a little flutter once but it was more noticeable so could have been gas or something).

Logic tells me it is absolutely impossible for me to be feeling movement, but I remember with DS1 feeling a tiny tap every time I sneezed when I was around 18 weeks or something like that. And these are tiny, faint little taps.

I saw another thread on here about phantom movement...maybe that's what I'm feeling, but I actually had a lot of phantom movement prior to getting my PPAF (I guess due to hormones and things resettling) and this is different.

Just wondering if it could be, if it's just something else like my uterus or gas, or if I'm just going crazy, b/c I doubt I could feel it this soon, even with a 2nd child (I hear you typically feel it earlier with your 2nd?)

I know what you mean! I feel what I think is a LOT of movement, but wonder if its just gas. I am only 8 weeks and 6 days, so I have no idea?

I'm due 4/1 too and this is baby number 4 for me so I don't know if that makes it better or worse for feeling "stuff" but as much as I *want* what I'm feeling to be baby, I have a really hard time believing it. For me, what I'm feeling is too strong I *think* for it to be baby - I mean, they are SO small still right now. Looking forward to in a few weeks actually feeling baby.

completely agree with this.

I actually agree with this too, although I am only 9w and it's not even the size of a grape yet so I am still not convinced what I'm feeling is movement (although, yes, I am having the same sensation the OP mentions).  But I definitely felt my second child at 11w (first was 13w6d), so I expect I'll be feeling movement sometime relatively soon.

I agree as well. I'm very aware of different feelings and whatnot in my body and I definitely can tell the difference between certain things. I'm not feeling anything I suspect is the baby yet but I can't wait until I do. I wonder if mothers tend to feel it earlier with their consecutive children more because they have actually experienced it before and are more in tune to what is happening?
