DUE NOVEMBER 3RD... PLEASE HELP!!!! « Back to Group Discussions

Hello everyone I just found this group so I would love to be a part of it....
I'll start by introducing myself... I am 30 yrs old and have two beautiful girls 5 and 7, from my prior marriage. I've been divorced for almost 6 years. I am currently pregnant with my 3rd daughter Due Nov 3rd and I already have a huge dilema and want to see if any of you can help?

My boyfriend and I briefly broke up in the big of the year... I very stupidly slept with an EX JAN 29th. My BF and I decided to work things out Feb 2nd so I was with him FEB 2nd, FEB 9th and FEB 16. I took a pregnancy test FEB 24th and had a light positive line... My doctor gives me a due date of NOV 3rd 2012 with a conception date of middle of FEB. I also went to a specialist to determine measurements and he told me exacly the same... Due NOV 3rd with conception of FEB 10 and said it varies within four days... to top it off I was unable to remember my LMP!!!
Besides a paternity which ill have to do... I would like to see if ibcan get some piece of mind to whether or not its my BF's baby.???
With the dates I've given, can anyone else (guessing at this point I know) tell me what they think?
I've literally had a migrane over this for 7 months... since I desperately want it to be my BF's baby. Stones are welcomed as I know sleeping with the EX was stupid and I deserve to be told

I'm due 11/4.  Had sex feb 11 (not the week before at all) and I know I ovulated on the 12th.

My 6-7 week US matched up to 2/12 exactly for conception.

So based on that I would guess 2/9 for you.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it not bring your bf's. You would be due October for sure if you conceded the end of January! it's highly unlikely that it's the ex's!

I agree. With those dates it sounds like this is your BF's baby. My pregnancy "wheel" app says that a due date of 03/11 means a conception date of 11/02 ( assuming a 28 day cycle), nearly two weeks after you were with your ex.

I'm due on the 5th, and am VERY sure that my conception/ovulation date was Feb 13th.  I was being monitored as I have trouble getting pregnant, so I would trust your dr and u/s tech.  I hope that very soon, you'll be through the feelings of guilt and anxiety, and that you and bf will celebrate the joy of this new baby together.  *HUGS*

I'm due the 7th of Nov. Hubby and I did the baby dance the 13th of Feb and I ovulated the 16th. My last period had been Feb 1.

similar here: I'm due sometime between NOV 4th and 6th. DH and I dtd on FEB 13th and date of conception is estimated on FEB 14th or 15th. So, I'd say it's a safe bet to assume your BF is the dad. Congrats on No3 and welcome to the club :)

Could it be possible to have ovulated late and since sperm can live for a few days have it be the EX's... from November 29th???

I know I conceived March 10th, and that puts me between Nov 30th to (most likely EDD by popular vote of the mothering mamas)12/2.  Exactly one month after you and there is no. way. it was Feb 29th.  That was the last day of my last period if that's not TMI.  

Third baby, three times the congrats!

Well sperm can live for a few days so, yes, it's possible but that still wouldnt give you a 03/11 EDC. Let's assume that your ex's sperm is very robust and lived for 5 days and that you ovulated on the fifth day which would be 04/02. That would give you an EDC of 27/10.

You didn't mention how your doctors arrived at their date of 03/11. Are they basing it on dates you gave them or on measurements from and early scan? If its from an early scan you can be pretty confident I would think. If its from dates then it depends how accurate they are.

One thIng I am a bit confused about is that you asked "if [you] ovulated late" could it still be your ex's. If ovulation around the time of sex wih your ex was late then ovulation when you had sex with your boyfriend would be *very* late unless you had a period in between. In which case presumably the ex would be out of the running as father.

the date of NOV 3 is going off the first scan I had... since I was unable to give my LMP.
lol sorry about the confusion about the "late ovulation" question... as u can see I'm completely clueless about how the whole ovulation, reproductive deal and how it works... I always hear about late ovulation so I wanted to ask every possible question I could think of :/

Early dating scans are the most accurate at due date calculations so I think you can be pretty confident about the due date and date of conception :-)

I've heard the longest they've seen sperm live, and it's rare, is 5 days. I was 3 days and my MW was impressed.

I have seen a few mamas on MDC get pregnant from sex 6-8 days before O. They were charting *very* accurately and in a few of the instances the husband went out of town right after DTD and was gone until after O, so no slip-ups were a factor. It's incredibly rare, but it happens. In fact, I think one of the MDC long-timers just had or is due with a baby that was conceived from sex 6 days before O.

The average healthy sperm in fertile CM can live 2-4 days. But most people aren't dealing with "average" healthy sperm and fertile CM, so even conception from sex 3 days before O is pretty impressive when you consider the U.S. has a 30% infertility rate!

This baby was conceived either from sex 5 days before O or from using the withdrawal method 1 day before O. Seeing as how the withdrawal method has not failed us in 17 years, I am finding it difficult to decide which DTD we conceived from!

My first daughter, who is now 6, was conceived from dtd 6/7 days before O.  I was charting and trying to avoid, so that is how I was really certain of timing.  We were really surprised.

My best friend had her second conceived from 6-7 days before O. She was hardcore charting and thought that a week was plenty of time. Guess not!

There you go! I know it's rare statistically, but it seems that anecdotal conception 6+ days from O is fairly common!
