Does anyone else's child get severe knee pain from eating gluten?

It took me awhile to pinpoint but I have found the reason for my 4 year olds cronic knee pain..Whenever she has a gluten infraction(doesn't happen often because of this and the explosive diareah) her knees just hurt and ache..For hours and hours..:((

Today was my nephews birthday party..We went..My sister in law assured me the sloppy joes were gluten free..I read looked at the can of mix..It was the same brand I buy..What she didn't tell me was she added a can of beefy vegetable soup to the crockpot of sloppy joe meat..Lily didn't eat very much of it..But obviously enough to do the damage...It is 1am and she has woken crying 3x's already..Nothing helps except to keep rubbing her back and  rocking her back to sleep...Think it is going to be a long night...

So anyone else have this crazy caused by gluten symptom?

Actually I get severe knee pain/inflammation from eating wheat. I've been reading the book Wheat Belly and just read about this connection between gluten ingestion and joint issues (and SO many other issues for those of us who are wheat and/or gluten intolerant.) I recommend the book highly.

My knees def hurt if I get glutened . Dd's feet and entire legs ache for days if it happens to her. Gf Motrin and a warmy( which is what we call a flannel bag filled with corn or rice and heated in the microwave) usually does the trick....I remember those long nights....

I recently just made the connection between wheat and swollen knees for myself.  This didn't happen until about a year ago.  It has been a long road.  It is nice to hear that others are affected this way too. . . makes the idea seem less crazy!
