Hey hey! After thinking (& being told so, after numerous surgeries) that I couldn't get pregnant, here I am, almost 34 and & expecting! I have a very very very low income, so I'm on WIC. In terms of fluid milk, I don't really like any other than raw milk and being poor & sans car, I've skipped out on milk for over a year now. WIC only gives you the option of getting skim or 1% milk. *shudder* I was thinking that if I kefir-ize it, it won't be such a waste? I mean, my roommate's will drink it, so it won't get wasted in a monetary sense no matter what, but I'd like to try to utilize it myself in some manner. ;) Also, I'm looking for a kombucha scoby/mother, as I have made it in the past & think it's very tasty! I feel the "goodies" in kombucha/yogurt/kefir make me feel better, and that it'll be helpful for my pregnancy as well. :) So, if anyone knows someone locally - I'm in Salem, MA. (I also travel into the downtown Boston area a few times a month, if that helps!) who has any (or all!) of the above, please let me know. :)
