I have a very important query. wink1.gif  What do you do/are you doing about undies?  Mine are either stretched out from last time or feeling too small.  Last time I thought maternity panties sounded ridiculous, but now I am not so sure.  Please advise.

I am in love with my maternity undies. I don't remember buying them last time, but so far they're my favorite purchase. I got the foldover kind. So comfy! I bought 6 and wear them exclusively. You may be like me and think a lot of maternity stuff is gimmicky and useless, but it's not a waste of money if it's something you're using and loving every day.

I just went to one of those fancy lingerie stores where they do bra fittings and have really nice undies. Anyway, I just asked the lady for some bikini cut underwear that would sit below my belly that didn't have any elastic that would cut into me. Something super soft, stretchy, and lightweight. She pointed me to these panties. I've LOVED them and they have enough stretch that I don't feel like I need to keep going up in size even as I gain weight. They don't cut into me at all, and they feel light as air. I didn't want to do maternity panties because I HATE anything on my belly (maybe that's not how all maternity panties work, but that was my thinking at the time), so this was what I went for. My only regret is that I didn't get more of them. But at 18 dollars a pair, I couldn't afford to!! Anyway, I'm not sure that you couldn't get something similar for cheaper at a department store, but this was what worked for me!

I just buy cheap Hanes panties (the kind in the 8 pack in the bag) for pregnancy and to use post partum. That way I don't have to ruin any of my good ones. I'm normally a small size, and I bought large size for extra comfort. Lol! DH laughs everytime he sees them in the laundry. He kindly refers to them as my granny panties, and is shocked that they fit!!! Ah, the joys of pregnancy!!!

I usually wear the hanes bikini cut.  I've always been a granny in the undies department. :)  it is weird because the small ones are too tight and the mediums feel like they are falling off.  but maybe that is just because they are totally stretched out from the last round...

Jackies- what brand are you wearing?

t button- those are cute!  but I could never get away with $18 panties.  I hardly pay that for a shirt.

I voted that I buy new panties...but really, I'mwearing a few stretchier pair of my regular panties, and what I had left of my fat underwear. I lost 45# in the year before I got pregnant. the biggest stuff from then wouldn't fit, but a size or two up is just great, depending on style.

I voted that i don't and they're silly BUT i don't actually think they're silly, i just don't buy them.  I wear my normal underwear.  By the end it's a bit small on me, but i don't mind as it's low rather than tight (i must get bigger pubic bone to sacrum rather than hip to hip!).  I generally buy a super cheap pack of big black panties for the first few weeks after - something to hold those gargantuan PP housebricks, sorry sanitary towels!  But those i bin after a month or so (i buy them in Primark, £2 for 6 pairs i paid last time).  not QUITE the disposable sort but near enough.

I've been wearing the Hanes bikinis, but I think I need to size up now.  Apparently I'm carrying a twin in my rear, because they no longer fit as comfortably as they did a couple months ago.  redface.gif

I've been wearing a couple of pairs of stretchy granny panties... I haven't worn them since my last postpartum time when I was still losing the weight from baby #2.  Since then they've been, well, kind of too ugly to wear day to day, but I never threw them out because they were in such good quality.  They're coming in handy as I don't fit into anything else at the moment...  And they really are durable.  I do need a good bra though, I've been making do with sports bras but they're very uncomfortable.  My normal bras don't have a snowball's chance in hell of fitting me now.
