Im lusting for the Alma Bloom baby crib and ditching my arms reach cosleeper.

Okay.. help me out here.

I am drooling at the alma baby bloom crib.

Why?

Because it is tiny we have a smaller house and how we do things around here is the Baby has their own room and naps alone during the day time and then we sidecar cosleep at night.  Dh has sleep apnea and we both are overweight and true cosleeping does not feel safe to us.  Baby will only sleep with me if they are sleeping ON me..otherwise -side car.

For my two girls -we used the arms reach and I liked it but it did feel kind of floppy.. oh that is BS - it worked just fine.

Okay okay..

it is tiny. I can keep it next to bed and then depending on how we move things around for baby - I could push away from our bed for when DH and I are being intimate

I love that it folds up super tiny.. like I think it would be the crib that I would keep for when my children have children or if I was watching a friends child etc..

It looks svelte man!  I think it just looks nice

If I had a big house I could move it from room to room -I don't

I dont think I can fit a cosleeper in our room anymore (we went from queen to kind bed) so I sorta need this (but i could get a mini cosleeper for a fraction of cost)

I could travel with it.. like I *heart* it :p

What do you guys think of it?

If you've really got to have it, try the used market. This one is $150, which would certainly make it more of an option in my world.

I clicked on it and it said deleted.  I have been massive searching craigslist...

I know I can use a 20% coupon at buy buy baby..  I dunno. The price is _crazy_ which makes the idea of keeping it for grandkids -good. I like no assembly... oh boy.

*stuck* *stuck*

I checked my local consignment shops and they said they can't buy cribs unless they were made from june 2011 on - so basically babies are still sleeping in them.. and finding one on consignment  -heck to the no.

Well, you know you do have a little bit of time...keep up the searching and leave it to fate.

Well, if you LOVE it, then make it happen!  I really wanted a BOB double jogging stroller after DD2 was born, did I need it, eh, maybe not.  I got it as the 1 splurge for the pregnancy.  This time I am going to get a 'my breast friend' nursing pillow thing.  Do I need it?  Heck no, I have 2 boppys and tons of pillows to position myself, but i want one.... so I am going to get it!

Seems to me a little less convenient than the co-sleeper though, much further to reach into to get baby out.  I ended up ditching the co-sleeper because I had to get up at night to put DD1 in and out of it.  too much work for me.  I just end up co-sleeping.

That said, I am going to have a crib in the other room so DS can have a safe place to sleep during the day, not on my bed as I have done with both girls.

I can't say much about it but if you love it you should make it happen - I really want a swing that also vibrates even though i had someone give me a swing (6 yrs old) and vibrating bouncy seat (mine from the first 3 kids died) - when i figured out that they sell swings that also vibrate ? i need one.  a girl needs to be able to take a shower and occasionally cook without wearing a baby and a vibrating swing would have worked wonders for all 3 of my kids..  and such a space saver combining the two..

I felt that way about my Beco. It was a lifesaver and worth every penny. If you feel that this is the right baby item for you, continue the search or maybe even ask family to help chip in to cover the cost instead of getting "little" baby things.
