Can anyone recommend a homemade or natural mouth rinse for kids?

I'm looking for a mouthwash for dd to use mostly in the middle of the day and after sweets. I don't want to use the chemical and flouride ones from the pharmacy. DD is five.

Do you like any of the natural ones or does anyone have a recipe for one they make from scratch?

Thanks!

Mouthwash as we concerned contains the alcohol.

Actually, it is unnecessary to freshen the breath with the alcohol, and we can get easily to do some homemade in the followings rather than rely on dental units.

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon of vegetable glycerin

1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel

10 drops peppermint, wintergreen or spearmint essential oil

1 1/2 cups of water

Directions:

In a clean jar with a tight lid, mix together all of the ingredients.

Use the mint mouthwash anytime as a gargle.

Make sure you store the mouthwash in a jar with a tightly sealed lid, and it will keep indefinitely.
