Measuring 4 weeks ahead :/

We switched from an OB to a midwife and had our first appt today with her. It went well, but when they measured me my belly is measuring 25 weeks. My uterus is WAY up past my belly button....my period was wonky in April, no cramps, and like a week early, and no bloat or pms, and I gained almost 5 pounds in April......they are going to look at my records and my sonograms, and may be changing my due date to december!!!! Oh goodness that's close!!! DH is freaked out! He's worried about me going way past my due date and the risks. I guess we will get a better idea at our next appt. sheesh what a day!!!

Well hopefully they can figure it all out. I would be completely freaked out if they moved my due date up a month! I hope you hear something soon so you can prepare.

oh my!  the opposite feeling like you are waiting forever!  I heard an interview with a girl who found out she was pregnant about 10 days before she gave birth.  Can you imagine????

Oh dear, don't be too stressed!  Babies usually come when they're ready, so it's not likely that not knowing the due date will make much difference (just to try to calm hubby down!).  After all for the last 60 million or years or so we've been gestating and it's only been the last 80 or so that we stopped counting "moons" and went to weeks!  Pregnancy often isn't very precise, and ultrasound usually can only give you a 2-week time period anyway (later on, if you go earlier it's slightly better, but i'm sure it's still +/- 5 days even if you go early first tri).

I had a friend who found out she was pregnant at 27 weeks!  They got everything in place in plenty of time despite this.  Come to that a lot of my ancestors and some of my modern day family are Jewish and many of them did not acknowledge a pregnancy until after a successful birth either, so the MIL and other g'ma would be bringing the cot, clothes etc. over ON the birth day and not before.

And for some final consolation, i am POSITIVE of my dates, and i'm measuring about 26 today (i'm 22+3).  So many things make a difference with me - time of day, fullness of bladder, position of baby - yesterday i was measuring 23...wait and see what you see, try not to freak out.

Hugs!

I've had my due date changed around back and forth... all the way from Jan 28th (latest) to Jan 8th (earliest).  And considering my other two have come early (37 and 36 weeks) I am basically confused as all heck as to when this kiddo is actually coming.  I guess he'll come when ready - but I want to make sure I'm in the right place for it (i.e. if it ends up coming early might go into the hospital "just in case" but.. ???)  I'm very confused overall, and with my others I was always really sure down to the date how far along I was.  So this is new to me...

Thanks all.

The more i think about it, i just don't think its possible, DD was in the hospital in March, and i was NOT in the mood for any sexy time because her MRI was due around then to see if there was any growth on her tumor. I'm so mad because i kept the track of all of the romantic nights in April but totally dropped the ball in February and march, so i don't really even know when i was ovulating in march. UGH! Plus i had a sono at 7 weeks, and i measured exact. Who knows. I'm hoping to get more answers on the 2nd when i go in again.

At least if the baby was born on December i can guarantee that he wont be born on my DD's bday on the 15th of Jan!!!! ;)
