What do you use for recordkeeping? Any iphone/iPad apps?

Hi there,

I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to do my record keeping.  I would love to hear what you all use!

In a PERFECT world, I'd love to find an iPhone app which would allow me to:

- take a picture and add a caption

- make text notes

- maybe use a calendar

- print out my records

- pdf and email my records

- edit and print my records as a "yearbook" for my kiddos

I know, wishing for the moon!

Any ideas?!?

Have you investigated Evernote? I don't use it for much other than grocery lists but it seems to me that it's capable of much of what you describe, except exporting to pdf (it only does HTML) and printing a yearbook. But there may be add-on apps that do that ... there are plenty of add-ons.

I use Cozi's Family Journal for keeping track of each day's work and pictures. They have a calendar linked as well, but I don't use that. I use the journal for info and pics of our year for a yearbook and records.

What a great idea!

I use a word document for the week, one page per child, separated by subject.

Now that my oldest is in high school, I also have to keep a transcript and bibliography.

I've taken lots of homeschooling pictures over the past 10+ years and would love to carve

out some time to make a special book for each child's school days ... but then, it's also

tough for us to separate school from life and to decide what to include or not ...
