When i went to the midwife today (37 + 4) and peed on the stick before i saw her, i had a bit of bloody show. I was shocked as i never had that with DD. So she offered to check me internally if i wanted and i decided to go for it. Head is waaaay down there and there has been some thinning and i am soft.

Not totally sure what all of this means except that body is getting ready. Midwife didn't seem to think all of this means that birth is necessarily imminent (it may or may not be), but it sure feels like it to me. What do you think?

I know you've *realllllly* been looking forward to getting this baby on the outside, so I hope this means good things for you!  I can't say for sure for you whether it means anything or not (sometimes it does, sometimes it just means things are moving in the right direction, but not necessarily imminent), but for me, after going to the bathroom and discovering bloody show, I called up my midwife, got kids off to my parents' house, and headed up to her place (it was illegal at the time in my state for a midwife-attended homebirth, so I went to Montana!).  Dd4 was born the next afternoon!  So... for me it meant good things.  Hoping it does for you!

Oh wow Judybean, that's fantastic. Maybe i will be so lucky! Was feeling it yesterday but today not so much. So funny how it goes....! I predict 11 days or less.
