facts about maternity benefits??

Any research mamas here? I work for a company where the maternity benefits are there, but less than stellar. I also work for a company that actually seems to care about their employee's well being. I'd like to gather & present some facts & resources about why they should provide better maternity benefits. Can anyone help me get started? My searching skills are not serving me well on this one.

Perhaps a health insurance co. has done some of this type of research. I'd come from the angle that better maternity benefits leads to better health, fewer insurance claims, fewer lost days of work and longer employee retention!
