Plugged duct? Boob woes. « Back to Group Discussions

One of by breasts is way ahead of its time.  Most of the breast makes colostrum.  One overzealous milk duct makes breastmilk and frequently gets clogged because I HAVE NO BABY TO NURSE YET!  It is such a pain to have to express milk from one boob, one duct, multiple times/day.  I have letdowns from that one duct.  It's so frustrating.

Can anyone else commiserate, or am I alone in the overproductive overzealous boob world?

I also may mention that when nursing I have a huge oversupply and overactive letdown issues.. so maybe I had this coming?  I didn't breastfeed DD1, but I nursed DD2 until about 12 weeks into the pregnancy when my milk dried up and she decided she wasn't interested anymore.

I'm not in your shoes, but you definitely have my sympathy. If there's any justice in this world, your baby needs to be the easiest newborn ever, because you are certainly paying your dues in advance!

I have milk in my armpit!  I woke up after my milk had come in with my DD and was shocked (and a bit scared!) at how swollen my milk ducts hwere in my left armpit (just my left - not my right for some reason).  This pregnancy, it started around 2 months ago.  :-/
