Hello. My name is Ami & I live in Upstate/Central NY (near Utica). My husband & I just got married in April, after living together for 4 years. I just turned 30 and he just turned 46, and we decided it was time to start trying, or at least, to stop NOT trying. I found out I was pregnant at the very end of July, and had miscarried by mid-August. We both would like to wait a little while to try again, not quite ready yet, but in the meantime, I'm hoping to make some friends here. (I've posted in the Pregnancy & Birth Loss forum as well.)
Things I'm interested in, or like to do: I play flute (and soon piccolo) in a 107-year-old Italian-American marching band, I make pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs), and I like learning about gardening, food preservation, all sorts of arts & crafts, babywearing, cloth diapering, gentle discipline, homeschooling, and lots of other stuff.
