Weight-loss: 3 pounds
Total weight-loss: 38 pounds

Goal: 125ish or what my body will want

I'm trilled with my result this morning! I eated out three time last week, had additional stress on my shoulders but managed to choose good food over junk food!

Dance show is coming in two weeks... I have rehearsal (sp??) tonight... We did the photos last friday... I'm nervous!!!!:

I might not be as present here on MDC as I would like to be for the next month or so... if someone was willing to take responsibility for this thread it would be nice and I wouldn't have to stress to be here on time monday mornings

Have to go... I'm already late on my schedule : :LOL

I lost 70 lbs last year and have managed to keep all but 5 off, and those five are muscle, so I am happy,

yay, yay, yay!!!

My biggest weigh ever.....gulp.... 222.

I've lost around 30 lb. but I still have at least 50 to go.

I haven't weighed myself today but I think I gained back a couple of pounds despite walking every nice day this past week. It's the damn sugar, I never should have taken that first bite.

Alright.

Current weight - 139
Weight loss - 0
Total weight loss - 0 (only my first week keep in mind)

I blame this on my mother. She came to visit and took us out to eat EVERY NIGHT. Yikes I've never eaten so much in one weekend, ever before. I think mid-week I may have been down 2 lbs. We'll see next week, eh?

Anyway...

Goal - 125

Out to eat every night and 0 loss or gain?! I'd say that's great! It seems that if I eat over 1200 calories I gain a pound the next day. :

Keep up the good work!

O.K.

WEIGHT LOSS THIS WEEK: 1LB
CURRENT WEIGHT:134LBS
TOTALLY MDC WEIGHT LOSS:3.5
GOAL WEIGHT: 124 BY AUGUST 28TH
LBS STILL TO LOSE: 10

I'm sort of discouraged that I only lost 1lb this week. I was so impressed with my 2.5 last week!!
I think it was my eating. While I ate smaller portions, I ate more fatty foods and some sugar. And I didn't workout quite as intensely.
Could someone pep me up for this week?

Start (mar 04): 223.5
Current: 221.5
I'm up .5 lbs from last week. I ate a little junky over the weekend...got in a minor car accident a few blocks from my mom's and she ordered pizza for everyone, then we got Chinese food yesterday.
Dh is in the other room working out! He's on the weight loss bandwagon now and it's inspiring me so much. He quit drinking soda finally ...he's already lost 5 lbs in the last week!!!
Okay, well I haven't been exercising. I know this is my downfall. We got some pictures developed from the last few weeks and seeing how big I am really hits it home. Yikes! I really am fat! I mean I knew I was already but when you see it...well, I'm sure you can all understand.

Now, every time I try Pilates it has been way too hard for me...I mean literally there are exercises I can't come close to doing. So I finally decided its just not the right work out for me right now. My dh just coached me through a total body wieght work out just now and it was great. I did two sets of each of 3 triads. My muscles feel like jello now.

Goals this week: Weight work out one more time this week: do three sets of each triad. Do yoga twice this week. Take a walk on the beach if my ankle is up to it (twisted it over the weeked.) Continue drinking 3-4 quarts of water per day. Say no to fast food! Practice yogic breathing relaxation nightly... I just started doing this last week and when I do it I wake feeling so refreshed and with a calm energy.

Goal weight for next weigh in: 219 lbs

Whew! I feel like I got a workout just trying to find this darn thread again! :LOL

I am very frustrated with my progress.

Without veering from diet or workouts I managed to get the 2.5 pounds back I thought I lost as of a week ago.

I am doing these things to go forward:

1. Reverting to strict Weight Watchers point counting - which I despise, but I have to. I am giving myself 26 points per day on the days I work out and 22 on the one day a week I don't

2. I consulted with one of the trainers at the gym this morning and I am changing my diet and workout thusly:

1. Do weight training first - before getting on cardio machine - as the body takes 20 minutes to start releasing energy so you want to be heated up in order to maximize calorie burning while on the machine

2. Do one hour of cardio instead of 30 minutes I'll be bringing lots of CD's to keep myself from gettting BORED!

3. No more fruits in the diet - not even my non fat morning smoothie

4. No more eating of anything before I work out in the morning.

5. Must take in at least 4.5 liters of water each day. Ups calorie burning.

As usual no nothing I like- nothing to drink but water - no chips sweets sauces - nothing

He said at my last pesky ten pounds it will be unlikely that I will burn more than 1 pound a week even working out 6 days a week.

So here I remain, at 148, with my ten pounds of fat comfortably snuggled around my middle.

*sigh*

Hey-- I still have some time before I weigh in but this week was pretty much full of junk! I've been drinking mainly pop...still about 50oz of water but the pop kinda cancels it out

We are visiting family so eating right is kinda hard. Plus, af arrived...so yuck!!

My parents have a treadmill and I'm hoping to use it this week despite the arrival of af.

Oh, I can pull my pants off without undoing them!!!
Hello! It feels like spring has finally arrived and I hope it is for good!

Last week: 156
This week: 154.5
Lost: 1.5 lb
Total lost since birth at 11/03: 40.5 lbs.
Mini goal: 146 by end of May
Ultimate Goal: 130

I am so pleased since I spent some time at my parents house and my mom always has a full fridge and pantry. Being on a budget is great for weight loss because you can't eat food that you don't have! However when I go to my mom's she has food that I like to eat and so I eat and eat and eat, well you get the picture!
Good luck to all and see you next week!

I'm back! The last - what, month? has been hell on wheels for my diet and exercise program - over a week on the west coast, then a week sick as a dog, then over a week helping out a friend who just had her third baby. So I'm happy to report I haven't gained back a lot of weight - as far as I'm concerned that's progress!

The numbers:

Highest PP weight Aug. 02 216
Started MDC Feb. 03 198
Last check in here Mar. 04 148
Today 149.5
Total lost 66.5 pounds
Mini-goal 140
Ultimate dream goal 130-135

I have a huge amount of stress going on right now so I've been eating all the sweets I can lay my hands on in the house. At least I exercised a little today and ate tons of veggies for dinner, so that's good.

April, I actually think this is a good thing - you will see more weight loss more quickly the stronger you get, as muscle burns more calories at rest than fat does. I personally think weight lifting is a much better way to go than Pilates for weight loss.

I didn't do bad this week, but not great. I just need to keep at it.

5'2"
Start weight: 154lb
Last week: 146
This week: 147
Weight-loss this week: n/a

Mini-goal: 145lbs by April 24th (ds' first birthday)

Final goal: 125-135lbs

(all weights are with shoes & clothes)
This week - 279
(same as last week)

Starting - 282
Total loss - 3 lbs.

I think this is rather reasonable considering I was out of town for 5 days and had to eat out. I am going to have to get strict with myself this week though. I found cookie dough in the back of the freezer last night and had a little baking party. Serves me right though; they were'nt very good.

We are pretty good! Let's dance to celebrate!

Megan, thank you! End of April-May and June are really busy months here... you taking this thread over lift some weight off my shoulder.

My dance rehearsal went well... I thought I had lost ten pounds at the end of it (well, only .5 pound according to my scale - yes, I admit I weighted myself last night bad girl:LOL )

It's the time of the year where I would need 48 hour days : I hardly have time to eat and sleep... no opportunity to exercice And my schedule, already full, might be fuller this year because of my son - he does gymnastic twice a week and he is now a young actor (went to his first auditions recently and did his first commercial (sp?) last week-end - as backgroud extra).

My goal this week: remaining sane :LOL and drinking water.
Hey Megan,

Congrats on meeting your mini-goal!
Thanks for the congrats - I am feeling rally good about that (perhaps feeling abit too good as I have eaten cheesecake and other assorted goodies in the last could og days!).

Actually, though, I have found that if I am just okay all the time then I lose very slowly and feel discouraged -like I am always being good and never getting the pay back. But, if I am really good almost all the time (when i am really good I lose 1 pound almost every day), then can treat myself to things like pizza or cheesecak and acknowledge that they are treats and feel good about it. Does that make sense? Like I used to snack on ds's snacks - a pretzel here, a cookie there, some popcorn and applesauce, etc. Now I never do that, I am really good about eating lots of veggies, protien, and water and very little carbs. Then, in turn, I can be bad on date night or things like that. Well, I am rambling now.

We are going to Florida on the 5th of May, so I would like to get into the 160's before the trip (6 pounds would get me to 169). We'll see!!

Chrissy:
1lb in one week is awesome! At that rate it's 4lbs a month. It all adds up! I would have like even a 1lb loss but I gained one instead! My scale is posessed! I'll wiegh 175 one time then try again and it's 168. I just get on three or four times and take the average, lol! I still know the general range so I know if I've lost or not. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise as I'm not obsessing so much about numbers.

Last week: 170lbs
This week: 171-172
Starting here: 180-185 (I can't remember anymore)

Just jumping in so sorry I missed some of your posts. I'll do better next week, promise.

Melissa
