Co-sleeping has made my toddler sleep through the night...

I can't believe how many baby sleep books claim that co-sleeping will ruin everyone's sleep.  Since I started co-sleeping, my son has learned to fall asleep on his own without being walked around.  He's just happy to cuddle beside Mom...  And to think of all of the doctors who have told me that I would "HAVE" to let him cry it out in order to learn to fall asleep unassisted...  I'm just so angry at the bad advice they give moms.  Because of co-sleeping, he now sleeps like a log for at least 8 hours straight.  No crying required!  I feel like co-sleeping has just given me my life back.  Just felt like telling that to people who would appreciate it...

That's wonderful!! I wish it worked for us but for DD big bed = trampoline even if I take her at 2 am. To be fair, she is very used to falling asleep in her own room so I'm seriously debating about a twin mattress on the floor.

I'm sorry you were advised to leave your child to cry it out. There are some many other sleep training techniques out there.

Co-sleeping doesn't have to ruin everyone's sleep. Though some do sleep lighter than others and babies and toddlers can be wiggle worts in bed. I hear from a lot of parents who are ready to stop co-sleeping as they are ready to get a good nights sleep. When I work with these families we never leave a child (of any age) to cry it out.
